Peak Roo ng Systems, a local family owned roo ng company, repaired numerous damages and leaks on our Spanish Tile roof for us. Wes
Hatch has taken such great care of us. He has been very professional, responsible, and punctual. He was
able to come right out after we called, thoroughly inspect the whole roof, provide pictures with estimate, and immediately schedule the repairs. We couldn’t be happier and would recommend Peak Roo ng Systems
and Wes to anyone here in Stonebriar Country Club and elsewhere!

City population pro-jections indicate 7,000 additional people could call Frisco home by next year. Whether you are a newcomer or someone who re-members Frisco before Stonebriar Centre existed, this yearly special publication is for you.
The Connected maga-zine is a compilation of some of the most useful and requested information we publish throughout the year in Community Impact Newspaper, along with a few additional specialty pieces. We put it together in this format so you can stash it away and refer to it all year.
Upon the release of last year’s Connected, my husband and I challenged ourselves to keep a copy
in the glove box and make our way to every locally owned restaurant in the dining listings section. I can’t say we quite succeeded, but I cannot even pretend to be upset about getting to try this chal-lenge again this year. As you will see on Page 10, the list is lengthy, so I’m seeing a lot of date nights and exploring in our future.
My hope is that this magazine will help you plan your own adventures in several ways. Whether it’s date night, your next shopping trip (see Page 15), a visit to the park (see Page 28) or even your next home purchase (see Page 33), Connected is here to be your companion and resource.
At Community Impact Newspa-per, we say, “I heart local,” and it’s our wish that this magazine helps you “heart” something new in your community as well.

Everything is bigger in Frisco, so it was only fitting to build the largest grilling specialty store in the USA right here. We left our corporate jobs behind and took our love for outdoor grilling to the level of becoming and being the outdoor kitch-en experts. We build the highest quality outdoor kitchens – offer the latest craft rubs, spices, charcoals and woods for the ultimate flavor – and everything else in between. Premier Grilling only has the most advanced outdoor grills, accessories and cooking knowledge available. If it’s not the best, you won’t find it at Premier Grilling. Our customers regularly enjoy our cooking class series taught by our
own professional pit masters, the most famous BBQ pit masters from around the country, and some of the best chefs in the DFW area. Come see us at our newest location next to Target on Eldorado Parkway.

I started this company after working in sales for 15 years. My goal is, and always has been, giving my customers the level of service I myself would like to receive. I take great pride in giving 110 percent on every job. My team shares in that same philos-ophy.
Frisco was hit with varying sized hail and high winds March 23, 2016 and April 11, 2016 creating an estimated $500 Million in damages in Collin County. Unfortunately, in our business there are “storm chasers” and many people fall prey to dishonest people trying to make a quick buck. NEVER sign a blank contract and wait until your insurance adjuster and contractor/roofer agree upon the scope of work.
Let’s face it: the best advertisement is word of mouth. Most of our business comes from referrals—the best compliment we could ever receive. Please let me know if there is anything our team at Peak Roofing Systems can do to make your experience less stressful. I wish nothing but a positive experience for you when you work with us. I hope to not only gain your business for all your immediate roofing needs, but also for any future needs you may have.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at 972.335.PEAK (7325) for a free inspection we are here to serve you.

CITY INFORMATION
Whether you’re a newcomer or someone who has grown up in Frisco, we’re glad you’re here! As one of the fastest growing cities in the country, Frisco evolves daily. More and more young families, seniors and business owners are choosing Frisco.
The Dallas Cowboys world headquarters has its new home in Frisco; the future National Soccer Hall of Fame is under construction at Toyota Stadium; and the National Videogame Museum opened its doors earlier this year.
Frisco has a reputation for creating innovative public-pri-vate partnerships, which promote tourism, grow sales tax and help our property taxes be among the region’s lowest.
I credit Frisco’s success to the people who live, work and volunteer here. We’re glad you’re part of our “Progress in Motion.”

Upcoming projects1 Preston Road
Intersection ImprovementsConstruction is expected to begin by this summer on intersections on Preston Road. The project stretches from SH 121 to Main Street. Additional turn lanes will be added to the Warren Parkway, Lebanon Road, Wade Boulevard, Rolater Road and Main Street intersections. The $3.6-million project is expected to be complete by fall 2017. The city of Frisco and
Texas Department of Transportation will provide funding for the project.
2 US 380 wideningConstruction continues to widen US 380 in three phases. The TxDOT project requires no funding from the city of Frisco. Phase 1 from Lovers Lane to CR 26 is being widened from a five-lane roadway to a six-lane divided roadway. Phase 1 costs $19.6 million and is expected to be complete by fall 2016.
Phase 2 stretches from CR 26 to Lovers Lane and will widen US 380 from a five-lane roadway to six lanes with grade separations at Preston Road and the Dallas North Tollway. Phase 2 costs $58 million and is expected to be complete by fall 2018.
Phase 3 was recently announced and is still in the design phase. Phase 3 stretches from CR 26 to Loop 288 and will widen
the road from five lanes to six lanes with grade separations at FM 423, Legacy Drive and Teel Parkway. The cost for the project is still being determined, but construction is expected to begin in spring 2018.
3 Custer Road wideningThe three-mile long project spans from SH 121 to Stonebridge Drive. The roadway will be widened from a four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane roadway. The $9.7-million project is expected to be complete by this fall. Funding is coming mostly from Collin County and TxDOT with the city of Frisco providing $1.9 million.
4 Ohio Drive/Warren Parkway RoundaboutA roundabout will replace the existing four-way stop at the intersection of Ohio Drive and Warren Parkway. The project is still in the design
phase and is expected to begin construction in spring 2017. The city of Frisco and TxDOT are funding the $1.9-million project.
5 4th Army DrivePhase 2 of the 4th Army Drive roadway project will begin this summer. The project stretches from the Stewart Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant to Timber Ridge Drive. Phase 2 will reconstruct 4th Army Drive into a two-lane concrete roadway with the construction of a bridge. Phase 2 is expected to cost $8.6 million and is funded by the city of Frisco.
6 FM 423 north expansion FM 423 from Eldorado Parkway to US 380 continues to be under construction to widen the roadway to six lanes. Construction is expected to be complete by fall 2017. TxDOT is funding the $28.4-million project.
