Upcoming Events Principal’s Message
Hi Everybody,
It seems like the students all showed up a
foot taller after Spring Break! Their readiness to
roll up to the next grade level is evident, and we
are so proud of all of them! Over the next few
weeks, they will be showing what they know on
standardized exams. We are grateful for the
good rest and breakfasts you provide, and for
the offers to proctor tests. Thank you to all who
have signed up, and please consider
volunteering if at all possible. We are an A
school in large part because of our community’s
support in every way! Speaking of support, thank
you to our wonderful PTO for dedicating $23,000
from the Carnival toward safety enhancements,
for planning next week’s Teacher Appreciation,
Donuts with Dads, the Book Fair, and
Kindergarten Orientation. It will be so much fun
to welcome our new group of kindergarteners!
Nurturing growth is the delight of every member
of our PVPV/Rawlings staff, and we are honored
to work with your families.
Your Principal, Ms. Van Housen
We’ve been keeping an eye on a couple of
other growing family members…our two baby

playground! Our students have been tracking
the progress of Stacey and Olivia, who seem about ready to leave the nest…

We respectfully request parents/guardians to review the ridership rules to include the PTWP posted on the district website as well as the PVPV/Rawlings website (see link below). Bus operators are not authorized to deviate from the established standards. Notes from parents, guardians, teachers, staff, and/or administrators will not supersede the standards. Once a violation is detected, operators are instructed to either discharge students at their assigned stop or return them to school. Transportation intends to provide appropriate services in the context of safety, security, and accountability considerations. Spontaneous or haphazard ridership of district school buses is unauthorized.
Issues we are experiencing:Children attempting to disembark buses at stops other than their assigned stops• Students ineligible for transportation services attempting to ride home with a friend for a
sleepover, birthday party, or other personal reasons• Students eligible for transportation attempting to ride a bus other than their assigned bus
