tic shopping bags are banned in Victoria to reduce plastic pollution and help protect the
environment.
Say no to all single use plastic, including bags, straws, cups, bottles, cotton buds and

The start of a new year is the perfect time to try a new activity at Archie or join THE SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB; a club that welcomes new members - you don’t need to be aged 60yrs+ to join. Enquiries welcome. Call in to Archie, and have a coffee in the Tasty Plate Café and see how the place ‘ticks’. Feel free to ask questions and chat to people involved in activities that interest you. If the time is not right to chat, enquire at Reception about arranging a better time to meet with relevant group leaders.

Feel free to find a quiet place to read, have a cool drink or cup of tea in the dining room or a coffee in the Tasty Plate Café. The courtyard garden near the pool is shady by late afternoon.

Netflix movies are scheduled fortnightly on Tuesdays 2pm and grandparent/grand kids movies are fortnightly on Fridays 2pm in January 2020
The book and DVD swap is located in the dining room and anyone can access a wide range of books and movies. The daily newspapers are available in the dining room too.

The Tasty Plate Café thrives on being a part of The Archie Graham Community Centre.
In the Tasty Plate Café kitchen we have a combination of eager staff in training and hospitality professionals who are highly skilled chefs and baristas.
While we aim to provide a high level of customer service, please note that some of our staff are learning on-the-job and your patience and understanding is most appreciated.
Our carefully curated menus are based on the seasons
and a lot of our produce is proudly sourced locally.
At the Tasty Plate Cafe, we like to keep things fresh for
you, so keep in mind our menu changes regularly.
Thanks to Robyn and the volunteers who tend the gar-
dens at Archie, herbs and greens are picked fresh and
add an extra zing to our food.
We also have Cappuccinos, Café Lattes, Flat White Coffees, Long Black Coffees, Iced Coffees &
chilled drinks in the fridge.

Warm Safe Home Project Gardening at Archie

Have you noticed that the courtyards are looking
more loved than they used to be?
Thanks to a small band of volunteers led by
Robyn Drechsel, the courtyards are planted with
hardy succulents and flowers.
Anyone interested in assisting to maintain the
courtyard gardens, feel free to come along at

Four wooden benches have been repaired and are in the courtyards ready for use during the warmer weather. Feel free to enjoy the court-yards - entrance via the rear gates near the pool.

Sleep Easy - Bridget Lane, Chiropractor & Meditation Teacher, will share skills that you can use to improve your sleep. 4 sessions: 2.15 - 3pm Thursday 6, 13, 20, 27 Feb

Chair-based Yoga - Yoshi Inada-Lane, Chiropractor & Yoga Instructor wil l lead practical ses-sions which are about improving mobility and vitality through mindful breathing coupled with gentle movement. Weekly, sessions starting 10 January till end June 2020.
Pelvic Floor and Core - Karen Benson, Continence Physiotherapist will deliver a presentation about how the pelvic floor and core muscles work, how to strengthen them and keep them flexible which means that they need to be able to relax as well as lift and hold.
Session on Wednesday 19 February 2.15pm -3.15pm at Archie.
