The project was to be built in British Co-lombia, Canada. The program consisted of a family house, structurally connected to an apartment unit. Each with a separate en-trance. The designs intent is to seamlessly unify the two buildings, without losing each unit identity. This was achieved by creating rising volumes.
CUSTOM DESIGN
The entrance hall is connected with the main circulation of the house, allowing a strait view and passage to the back yard as soon as you walk in. The high wood ceiling let all the light in from the south, illuminating all the living areas.

CLEAN SWEEPS“Clean Sweeps” was ideated based on the circulation and extensive ramps that organize the entire building. One of the main considerations was the integration of the building within the site. The proposal was a harmonic relationship with the natural topography using the slope and trying to not impose on the air force memorial. The esthetics of the building is related to the organic form of the air force memorial, oriented towards the pentagon memorial and structured around a radial grid that is directed at section 4 of the Arlington cemetery witch is the supposed location of the free man’s village.

COUNTRY
SEA-SIDECOUNTRY The project consisted in creating a neighborhood that included all proj-ects created during the year, a chapel, Nautic club and two house models.
The challenge was to create paths leading to al buildings, keeping in mind sun orientation, convenience and privacy.
The sea-side chapel was a project that was developed though a study of our senses in-corporating them into the project. Starting at the base of the hill the visitor experiments features to touch, smell, hear, taste and see.
The Chapel was designed to integrate itself in the landscape.

NAUTIC CLUB The Nautic club’s design is based on the idea of incorporating the bay into the building. This is achieved by slanting the roof, opening the space towards the bay. The internal coordination corresponds with this concept by locating all the services away from the bay.
HOUSE MODELS Two house prototypes were developed during the year. Both projects were later repeated and individually customized to integrate themselves with the surrounding topography.
