Students who need to have tests from any of the above institutions can make arrangements to have their test administered
at this center. We offer testing services by any means the institution requests, primarily by paper/pencil, electronically
scored answer sheet (which would need to be scored by your institution) and web based testing. We do not allow any
student to download software to our system. If your school requires downloading of any special software, you will need to
contact this office first. Submit the proctor request form for your institution using the contact information below.
Taking a Proctored Examination at ACC Business Assessment Center
To take a Proctored Examination at ACC Business Assessment Center, follow these steps:
1. Have the appropriate official at your school or institution send test requirements and test materials to
[email protected]. The test requirements and materials can also be sent via mail to:

2. Confirm with your school or institution that test materials and requirements have been sent to the ACC Business
Assessment Center.
3. Contact the Business Assessment Center at 512-223-7395 to schedule your examination.
4. Test fees for Proctored Examinations are the responsibility of the examinee and can be paid on the day of the
scheduled examination.
5. Schedule your examination at least one business day in advance; otherwise, same day testing may be available for
an additional fee.
6. If your school or institution requires a completed proctor form, send it to the Business Assessment Center by fax

It is the responsibility of the student/examinee to make all contacts with the school or institution and with the ACC
Business Assessment Center.

Test Scheduling: Testing is scheduled Monday through Friday, by appointment. Proctored exams are only offered at the
Highland Business Center. Appointments will be made after the exam has been received at the Business Assessment
Center. You will need to check to ensure that your test is on file before you make an appointment. Testing schedule is as
follows: Monday through Thursday - 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (End Time) Friday - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (End Time).
Walk-in appointments or same day testing may be accommodated only if space and test materials are available. Call 512-
223-7395 to verify the receipt of your test materials and schedule the test.
Test Security: It is the policy of the Austin Community College Business Assessment Center to hold exams for 30 days
unless the issuing school/organization requests a different expiration date. The test will be secured for 30 calendar days
from the date the test is received in the Business Assessment Center. After 30 calendar days, the test will be returned to
the issuing school/organization. Examinations must be completed in one sitting.

exams are removed from all courses, you may find that you are registered for a class that still utilizes proctored exams. If
that is the case, the information on this page is for you.
Attention Students:
Check proctor availability at your location prior to enrolling in courses.
Determine days and times testing can be conducted.
Ask about any costs for proctoring. These are your responsibility.
Finalize your proctor arrangements no later than the first week of class.
If you change locations during a class, repeat this process.
Failure to act in an appropriate manner at the testing facility may result in disciplinary action.

Identify a test proctor: It is your responsibility to identify a test proctor prior to or during the first week of class. A
proctor may already be in place depending on your location.
Is it convenient for you to come to the CTC Testing Office on the Main Campus in Killeen? An appointment is
not necessary, but tests are administered as space is available. You do not have to submit a Test Proctor
Submission Form. For location, contact information, and hours of operation, see CTC Testing Services.
Are you in the military? Contact your local military education or testing center to see if it is already an approved
location and offers testing services.
Do you not fit in either category above? Don’t worry! See our Testing Requirements page for suggestions on
locating a proctor or testing center.
Unless you will be using the Central Campus testing center or a designated GoArmyEd test site, you will need to provide
your proctor's contact information to the CTC Testing Office using the Test Proctor Submission Form.
If approved by the Testing Office and your instructor, your test proctor will be notified and provided access information to
administer your tests. To check the status of your Test Proctor Submission Form, please contact the CTC Testing Office at
Change your test proctor or location: In the event that you relocate or need to change your testing location, notify the
CTC Testing Office prior to attempting to take a test, by resubmitting the Test Proctor Submission Form.
Taking your test: When you go to take your test, bring a photo ID, and know the name of the course (example: HIST
1301), your instructor, and which exam you are taking (example: Test 2, Midterm). Know the requirements and
restrictions as described in your course syllabus, such as time limit and whether or not any references or resources are
permitted.

Main campus distance learning students
The main campus testing center is an open entry testing facility for local area students. It is not necessary for local
students to submit a Test Proctor Submission Form.
Go to the Systems Services Building 111, Room 233 or call 254-526-1289 and select Option #1.
Hours for testing are on a Walk-in basis only, no appointments are scheduled.

Placement exams: Students must take a placement exam before enrolling in a college-level mathematics, and take both
the multiple choice and essay portions of the placement exam to place into ENGL 1301 Composition course. These exams
are available online and may be taken in a proctored situation. Please refer to the information listed above to submit a Test
Proctor Submission Form.

Special Note: The CTC online placement exams do not satisfy the Texas Success Initiative requirements. See
below.
Texas Success Initiative (TSI): Distance learners who physically reside in Texas or are bona fide Texas residents eligible
to pay in-state tuition rates must satisfy the TSI requirements unless TSI exempt or TSI waived. Students who are not
exempt must take an approved TSI assessment prior to starting coursework at CTC. The CTC online placement exams
cannot be used for this purpose.

New TSI Assessment: Beginning August 26, 2013, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is requiring
all Texas public colleges and universities to administer the new Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment. Any
new student who has not enrolled in a college course at CTC or another Texas public college or university prior to
8/26/13 or met a state approved TSI exemption will be required to take the new TSI Assessment.

Distance Learning Testing: The main campus testing lab is the designated testing facility for local Killeen students
Entrance Examination: The TSI Assessment is a mandatory computer adaptive placement examination for Texas
students. It is completed entirely online and includes multiple choice questions as well as an essay.
Nursing Pre-entrance Exam: The Evolve REACH Admission Assessment Examination is required for all students
applying for admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program, Transition to Associate Degree Nursing (A.D.N.)
Program, Paramedic to A.D.N. option, and Vocational Nursing.
Advanced Standing Examinations: CTC administers College Level Examinations Program (CLEP) and DANTES
Subject Standardized Test (DSST) examinations, which are nationally prepared tests for students desiring to receive credit
for knowledge already obtained.
Proctoring Services: Central Texas College also administers tests from other institutions as may be useful to people of
the community.

High School Equivalency Examination (GED): Central Texas College is a testing center through Pearson-VUE and
offers the General Education Development (GED) CBT examination for those who have not completed a formal high
school education and are at least 18 years of age.
ACT: The ACT is America's most widely accepted college entrance exam. It assesses high school students' general
educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.
ASE: ASE, is short for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Since 1972 this independent non-profit
organization has worked to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive
professionals.

Institutional Challenge Examinations: Students may request, through the appropriate department chair, permission to
take challenge examinations for certain courses.

Test Proctoring Services: The Harker Heights Public Library will perform free test proctoring for online tests or paper
tests mailed to us. We cannot proctor tests requiring the proctor to be in the room with the student for the entire exam. We
require at least 72 library business hours advance notice for scheduling online tests and at least two weeks notice for paper
tests that must be obtained from another institution. If you have not received a response through e-mail or through the
phone within 72 library business hours, then please call the library at 254-953-5492. While we will make every effort to
accommodate your schedule, we cannot guarantee your first choice appointment.
To schedule a test, fill out online form, and read and sign the proctor agreement.
Times: By appointment M-Sat, some a.m., some p.m.
Student assumes all responsibility for ensuring that the policies and guidelines required by his or her school are followed
during the scheduled testing time. Student understands that after two missed appointments, he/she will no longer be able
to schedule proctored exams at the Harker Heights Public Library.
Test Proctor Agreement:
The student will:
· Complete and sign the proctoring request form by which the student agrees to ensure that all guidelines and policies
from their respective institutions are met when testing at the Harker Heights Public Library.
· Confirm test has been received by the library.
· Schedule test at least 72 hours in advance for online tests and two weeks in advance for paper tests.
· Bring appropriate photo I.D.
· Call to cancel if unable to keep reserved testing time. After two no shows, the library will no longer proctor exams for
the student.
· Provide stamps, envelopes, etc. if needed.
· Take all online tests using library PCs.
· Relinquish use of personal laptops, cell phones, Blackberrys, etc. when testing, if required by the school. A space will
not be provided to store these materials.
The Library will:
· Provide a testing area.
· Correspond with student’s school and receive materials.
· Provide test proctor procedures to professor.
· Provide a designated contact number and e-mail address. (Call 254-953-5496 for more information.)
· Maintain a file for the student that will contain all testing materials until one month after the designated testing time.
· Submit tests via e-mail, fax or US Postal Service at the student’s expense.

The Library will not:
· Provide a space to store personal materials not allowed in testing area. · Accommodate requests for unscheduled
proctoring.
· Contact the testing institution to clarify procedural questions such as: incorrect passwords, wrong tests, etc.
· Be present in the same room as the student for the entire exam.
· Guarantee that the correct material has been received by the testing institution by a specific date.
· Download software for test taking that is not compatible with our network.
· Guarantee that technical problems will not occur when using the library PCs.
· Submit tests via FedEx or UPS.

Correspondence/Proctored Test Requests: The Testing Center is located at 201 West 11th Avenue. Parking is available
on College Street. Parking spaces on 11th Avenue are reserved for staff/faculty only.
Guidelines for Proctored Exams:
The UMHB Testing Center can proctor exams from different colleges or universities. Students must be granted
permission from the college or university to test at UMHB.
The Testing Center administers Correspondence/Proctored tests on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays as space
permits.
The maximum time allowed for testing is 3 hours or less depending on proctoring instructions.
There is a $30 proctor fee to UMHB (cash, check, credit/debit card) for each exam administered. Payment is due
at time of service or you will not be tested.
Exams MUST be scheduled at least 2 business days in advance but no more than 2 weeks in advance. Space for
correspondence exams is limited allowing UMHB exams first priority.
For students who have taken correspondence exams at UMHB before, please make sure UMHB is still listed as an
approved proctor. If so, feel free to request an exam time below.
Please be aware that even though you have taken a proctored exam at the UMHB Testing Center in the past,
please do NOT assume that all of your exams will be proctored here as well. Each exam is approved seperately on
a first come first serve basis as space allows.
If you have not taken a correspondence exam with UMHB, you will need to contact your professor for approval
before scheduling your exam. You may call the Testing Center at (254) 295-4696 to obtain information you need
to provide about the Testing Center to your professor. The Testing Center does not contact your professor,
university/college, or institution to receive exams or any other arrangements.

Testing Center
The Office of Academic Support Programs (ASP) provides proctoring, or supervised testing, services for students enrolled
in TAMUCT online classes. It is also a part of the Tarleton State and Central Texas College testing networks, serves as
a general testing center for Killeen, and is the university resource for verifying and coordinating with proctors at other
testing locations.
Testing at TAMUCT is provided free of charge for active TAMUCT students. For non-TAMUCT students, there is a $15
administration fee, which can be paid on the day of the exam. The student is solely responsible for all testing fees.
All testing requests need to be submitted at least 5 business days before the day of the exam. If submitted in less than 5
business days, Academic Support Programs cannot guarantee the administration of that exam.
To take a proctored exam at TAMUCT:
1. Submit the TAMUCT Testing Form online.
2. ASP will confirm your requested test time or suggest a new one within two business days.
3. Plan to arrive at the testing location at least fifteen minutes before the scheduled time. Remember to bring a photo
ID, a pencil or pen, and any other supplies that are allowed by your instructor. The proctor is not responsible for
providing materials for your test other than scratch paper.

Temple College offers proctored test services to students and the community at the Main Campus Testing Center and the
EWHCEC-Hutto Testing Center. Most testing is administered on a first-come, first-served basis during the posted
Testing Center hours. Appointments are not required in most cases. The Hutto Testing Center is by appointment only.

Proctored test takers are expected to adhere to all Testing Center guidelines as well as the guidelines set forth by the test
takers primary institution. All tests will end by the posted closing time and be picked up by the proctor whether the test is

A valid photo ID is required. Test takers must also bring all items required for their test (pencils, pens, scantrons,
bluebooks, calculators, etc). Items not approved for use on the test (cell phones, pagers, textbooks, notes, etc.) should be

d. Notification of when the exam can be taken: When a UT K-16 Education Center exam is processed and ready, a
postcard is sent to the student through U.S. Mail. The notification postcard will indicate any additional materials that may
be used during your exam and if an appointment is necessary. If the exam requires the use of a listening or recording
device (for foreign language exams), you must call the Testing Center for an appointment.
To verify that an exam from another institution has arrived at the Testing Center, please call our office at (512) 232-5000.
Exams will be held at the Testing Center for 30 days unless the issuing school/organization requests an earlier expiration
date. From the date we receive the test, we secure the test for 30 calendar days and then return it to the issuing
school/organization as an exam returned untaken.

Parking Permits: The University of Texas at Austin requires all visitors to display a Visitor, Faculty, Staff or Student
permit while parked at our facility. Temporary visitor permits are available upon request at the Testing Center at no
charge. Parking is strictly enforced by the Police Department at The University of Texas at Austin.
Testing Times: Testing is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Be sure to allow sufficient time to
complete the exam before our closing time.
Saturday Testing: Saturday testing is available once a month from 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Saturday testing dates are listed
below.
