Further your understanding and clinical skills toward offering individualized Ayuryoga consultations and becoming an Ayuryoga Wellness Consultant. This advanced certification will continue to integrate and introduce Ayurveda’s concept of strotamsi (bodily channels), marmani (therapeutic pressure points), samprapti (pathogenesis), pariksha (clinical examination), nidana (causes), and chikitsa (treatment).

Each module is open to general registration. We welcome advanced practitioners and those well versed in Ayuryoga to apply for any module of interest.
AS A CERTIFIED AYURYOGA WELLNESS CONSULTANT YOU CAN:
• Create individualized Ayuryoga programs based on Ayurvedic understanding of samprapti (pathogenesis) and nidana (cause of disease) to balance the doshas
• Evaluate the therapeutic benefit using Ayuryoga protocols based on strotamsi
• Use marma chikitsa methods for inner healing and integrate its role within yoga
• Offer doshic dietary recommendations and lifestyle practices based upon a deeper understanding of Ayurveda and disease pathways to bring balance
• Conduct basic Ayurvedic client assessments including pulse, tongue, nail, and face examination
• Create comprehensive client evaluation protocol design (chikitsa), applying and combining Ayurvedic lifestyle, diet, herbal therapy, pranayama, asana, meditation, and marma for health and well-being
PREREQUISITES• 200 hour teaching certification • 100 hours (minimum) of formal Ayurvedic studies • Completion of Ayuryoga Online Course or Level One Bridge
Program, which is dependent upon previous Ayuryoga experience (call for more information) OR
• Completion of Level One Ayuryoga Instructor Training
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS• Submit application and fee• Currently have a two year yoga practice and two years
teaching experience • Have proficiency and competency in teaching and demon-
strating Ayuryoga pranayama, meditation and asana practices
• Complete all required modules, assigned reading and preparation work
• Complete assigned case study projects• Complete oral and written exams• Develop an Ayuryoga workshop series (create, teach and
evaluate a public workshop)• Design, teach, and assess five client protocols utilizing
Ayuryoga methods; report findings and evaluations

Maria E Garré, MEd, E-RYT-500Head of the Ayuryoga department, Maria teaches ASP 2 Ayuryoga, YTT, and online Ayuryoga. Maria is dedicated to a life-long study, practice, and teaching of both Yoga and Ayurveda; continuing over 20 years of study in medical and biological sciences, philosophy, Ayurveda and Yoga. Blending the knowledge she has gathered from her studies and yearly pilgrimages to India, Maria leads dynamic and liberating classes that embody the alchemy of all these disciplines. Along with teaching at the Institute, Maria travels internationally leading retreats, workshops, and teacher training programs throughout the world.

The Ayurvedic Institute offers several formats and programs in Ayuryoga geared toward Ayurvedic practitioners, yoga teachers, yoga therapists, and those who love yoga and Ayurveda.
Ayuryoga Online CourseThis 12 week online course gives students 30 hours of instruction that introduces all of the foundational practices of Ayuryoga, based on the Ayurvedic principles of doshas and agni. Ayuryoga Level One TrainingA two-part program for yoga teachers interested in incorporating Ayurveda into their practice and in learning how to work with clients privately. This is a foundational yoga therapy module.
Ayuryoga Level Two TrainingA more advanced program for yoga teachers and Ayurvedic counselors or health care practitioners with a strong background in Ayurveda. These modules teach Ayurvedic pathology of diseases and assessment in conjunction with Ayuryoga to create treatment protocols based on individual concerns and needs.
Ayuryoga Level Three TrainingBeginning the Fall of 2016, this final training offers clinical study for those interested in receiving an Ayuryoga Therapist certification. Entry to Level Three requires completion of Level Two or ASP 1 and ASP 2 and 300-hour Ayuryoga YTT.
During this 2-part immersion, learn the basic tenets of Ayuryoga to understand how pranayama, asana, mudra, and meditation can bring healing to the mind, body and soul. Delve deep and understand how to teach and create basic yoga protocols based upon the doshas and sub-doshas, agni (bodily fire) and dhatus (bodily tissues). Weaving the philosophical pillars of both yoga and Ayurveda, we integrate practical and theoretical methods to inquire and work with both body and mind. Covering the basic precepts of digestion, nutrition, dinacharya (daily routine), and rutacharya (seasonal routine), participants will understand how to create basic lifestyle recommendations.
