NNC-MED Group History NNC-MED Consulting, based near Hamburg/Germany, was founded in late 2003 .The founder picked up a business idea for the health care product, which was on the market since a couple of years but was not yet implemented successfully. Due to the increasing demand for blood storage products they expected new business of providing a safe, organized and cost effective solution for the storage of biological material. In close cooperation with German hospitals they developed the BOS-S/040 storage system, the first device in a family of products improving the services of transfusion medicine centers of hospitals.

• The BOS-System is designed to produce better quality products, as the result of precise
and consistent temperature control. • After 2½ years evaluation in practice, the Dept. Of Hemostasis and Transfusion
Medicine of the Heinrich Heine University Medical Centre, Düsseldorf compared the product quality of BOS-stored biological products with that from conventional refrigerator technology.
• Using Hemostasis profiling, including coagulation factor activities including FVIII:C, the
stability of the stored products after freezing and thawing was found to be significantly superior from the BOS-System
• This is the result of the precise maintenance of set temperature of the cooled products,
even under conditions of frequent accessing, loading and removal of products.

The BOS-System solves other Refrigeration Problems Further Problems of old Refrigerator Technology: All Compressor-supported Storage Systems in the world have a Compressor or Compressor Complex dimensioned to the Storage Volume. This produces Cooling inwards, and Warmth externally The remaining Warmth is generally deposited in the area of the Installation (An exception is water-cooled systems, which necessitate a further installation). The design is generally structured so that the internal storage is adequately cooled when the external temperature up to 30°C. So what happens when the external temperature is higher, or fresh products are introduced and have to be brought down to storage temperature, or during normal introduction or removal a fridge door stands open for a time, and cold air is replaced? Here, cooling within the legal limits is not possible, since the cooling capacity is insufficient. When a system requires 24 hours to get to temperature, this is not acceptable. Possible Solutions: • Deliver new Products to be stored at a lower temperature ( normally not possible) • Introduce fresh products in smaller quantities (requires more capacities) • Ensure fridge doors are not left open for too long (Conflicts with the necessity to search for products, as the storage is not organized) • Reduce the temperature of the external environment further (high energy costs for air conditioning) These are all Inadequate Solutions The BOS-System solves all of these problems through focused Design and Engineering The LN₂ - cooled BOS-Systems are conceived, so that adequate cooling capacity is always available. The BOS-System releases no warmth to the immediate environment – rather it cools. With the BOS-System, all legal requirements can be met. Perfect Temperature Control leads to higher Product Quality, and highest Product Safety.
