Vaikom is a tranquil and serene village located on the banks of the famous

backwaters that lies 30km from ERNAKULAM railway station/50km from

Cochin airport en-route to Kumarakom (18km) / Alleppey (40km) / Thekkady

(123km) / Munnar (125km).

Vaikom is in fact on the oldest townships in Kerala and has many beautiful

and must-visit spots which are still untouched by modernity. This attractive

township on the western side of Kottayam district is bounded by the

enchanting Vembanad Lake.

Full day program

8:30 to 9:30 am - Depart from Cochin to Vaikom

9:00 to 10:00 am - khadi handloom weaving center visit

10:00 to 11:00 am – Vaikom Mahadeva Temple Visit

11:00 to 11:45 am - Oil extraction center visit

11:45 to 12:15 pm – Auto drive to boating point

12:15 to 01:15 pm - Boating true narrow canal

01:15 to 02:00 pm - Enjoy the Kerala Traditional lunch on banana leaves

02:00 to 03:00 pm - visit different village house to see village activities

03:00 to 04:00 pm – Departure
