BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON WARSAW GHETTO

• The Jewish had a major role on world war ll in fact they may even be the reason for world war two.

• In April and March of 1943 (world war ll) the armed residents of the Jewish Ghetto started to rebel against the Nazi camps.

• After an invasion in Poland in September about 400,000 Jews were forced to fit in a little above 1 square mile.

• In November 1940 the square mile was blocked off by brick walls, barbed wire, and armed guards.

• In July 1942, some 265,000 Jews had been deported away from Warsaw ghetto to a different concentration camp. Alongside the deportation about 20,000 Jews were being killed or taken to a different concentration camp.
