PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Manny Machado was named American League Player of the Week for August 14-
20...He batted .385 (10-for-26) with four runs scored, a double, four home runs and 12 RBI over six games played
to earn his third career AL Player of the Week Award, last winning in June 2015...Among AL leaders, Machado
finished the week first in RBI, tied for first in home runs, second in total bases (23), tied for second in extra-base

week...Last Monday at Seattle, he clubbed his sixth career grand slam, and second of the road trip (also August 7 at

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: In 20 games since joining the Orioles on August 1, INF Tim Beckham is hitting

20 games with the O’s, including each of the first 12…According to STATS, LLC., Beckham was one of three
Orioles with a hitting streak of at least 12 games to begin their O’s career (since 1954), joining David Newhan (15-
games, 2004) and Javy Lopez (13-games, 2004)…Beckham was named the AL Player of the Week for July 31-
August 6 after hitting .583 with three doubles, a triple, three homers, and six RBI over six games played to earn his
