When company unexpectedly comes for dinner and 'you greet them with a hearty welcome, your mind is saying, at the same time, "What shall I serve?" With the main item of the meal you can please your guests by serving delicious Ed's Bread. You think of this and are free to entertain your friends, having plenty of time to prepare other tempting dishes.

There is whole wheat bread, salt rising, raisin, many kinds of rye and about fifty different kinds of rolls. You can serve a different kind of Ed's Bread for over two weeks and then not exhaust the various types.
What makes a loaf of bread? Well, a loaf of bread may be made from flour, yeast, and water, but who would want to eaU it? Ed's Bread is made from the finest and purest materials obtainable, which includes one of the many well known brands of flour, shortening, milk (non-fat), sugar and the purest of leavening agents. v Ed's Baking Company, located
at 1056 East Second street, has won its reputation on quality, and when one is absolutely satisfied, the price is forgotten. Bread, is, however, one of the cheapest energy foods at almost any price.
The women and children of Jamestown who do the most bread buying, are no longer saying, "A loaf of bread"; instead they say, "A loaf of Ed's Bread." By specifying by name, you receive no substitute.
Many a delightful "dunking party" has been held this winter with Ed's skorper, either plain or cinnamon, as the one food served with the coffee. Ed's skorpor are made from a special Swedish formula and the hundreds of boxes used daily are proof of its goodness.
Ed's Baking Company, operated by O. O. Gates, employs only local people, who live here and spend their money with Jamestown merchants. It pays to buy home made products as is evidenced by the hundreds of families who are sticking to Ed's Bread, rolls, cookies and pies, all made here at home.
