• Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
• Watch out for everyday hazards, and advise your manager of an existing hazard that needs attention.

• If you drop it, pick it up. • Many accidents can be
avoided if people pick up dropped paperclips, rubber-bands, and various other items.

• If you spill something, clean it up.
• If the spill is big, call the Employee Resource Center at
1-866-743-5748 to have it cleaned up quickly, before someone slips and falls.

• Move items correctly. • Never use a chair.• Push the cart in front
of you and only move one cart at a time.

• Stack carts with heavier items on the bottom.
• Do not attempt to take items off top shelves if they are too heavy. Have someone assist you.

• Close desk and file drawers when they are not in use.
• Be aware of your surroundings to avoid running into or falling over drawers, chairs, etc.

• Be alert when walking down corridors, and especially on steps.
• Stand in one place while talking on a cell-phone, reading, or anything that is distracting to avoid falling or tripping over unseen objects.

• Enter or exit through doorways slowly to avoid hitting someone or being hit yourself.
• Do not use boxes or chairs to hold doors open. This could cause a hazard, especially in an emergency.

• Be alert to pedestrians in the roadway.
• Follow posted speed limits in the parking lot.
• Drive carefully and be aware of people parking in or exiting spaces.

• Follow instructions on posted signs throughout the facility.
• Do not enter posted areas that you are not authorized to access.
• Follow directions where you see signs that designate ENTRANCE or EXIT.

walkways and roadways.• Wear proper footwear in
inclement weather.• Shake off your umbrella
before entering the building.
• Use the carpets at the entrances to dry your footwear to prevent slipping or falling.
