BEHIND THE SUN stands at the middle of a documentaryand a fiction. It’s about a forgotten untold story of loveand disappearance. It’s a fantasy movie without specialeffects, showing internal and alien worlds. Indeed, it mightbe considered an anthropological documentary on lifeconditions in Siberia, and on the universal harshness ofnature. It’s a movie on soul and time. The movie is basedupon real facts: the big blast of Tunguska – in Siberia – in1908 and the mysterious disappearance of an Italianresearcher who left Italy in 1993 to study the phenomenon.
