Tipu Sultan’s Palace
The grand summer palace of Tipu Sultan has now been converted into a museum. The grandeur of the

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden
The lush green botanical garden is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in India. Created by
Haider Ali, it was later reformed by heroic king Tipu Sultan. The inspiration behind the construction of
Lal Bagh Botanical Garden was the London Crystal Palace. The king Tipu Sultan enhanced the beauty
of the garden by added affluence of horticulture to it. Lying 240 acres of land, the garden is a treasure
trove of various plant species. The lawn clocks in the garden make this garden an astonishing and one
of its kinds in India. It also holds the famous twice-yearly flower shows in the months of January andAugust. It is a 4 km drive from Vidhan Soudha.

Bangalore Palace
Bangalore Place emerges as a scenic tourist hotspot with a regal castle-like structure resembling to
England’s Windsor Castle. Amidst lush green surroundings the perfectly designed interiors of the
palace filled with splendid portraits and stained glass windows. Situated in the middle of the city,
famous for its Tudor style designed construction has woodcarvings, Gothic windows, which give an
account of the glorious architecture history of the bygone age. The best place for photography buffs
who love capturing greatness in their lens as photography is allowed within the properties. The 430-
acre land of palace has beautiful gardens which is now famous for conducting exhibitions and
concerts.

Cubbon Park
Constructed by the Chief Engineer of Mysore, Richard Sankey, the Cubbon Park is situated in 300 acres
of land. The verdant green parks and the lawns that are perfectly manicured needs to be mentioned
here. The garden has beautiful alley to walk on. The aura of the park justifies being entitled as a
Paradise. It comprises museums, library, aquarium, and toy train along with tennis academy for sports
lovers. Statues of well-known entities are positioned within the premises. The park showcases over
and above 6,000 varieties of trees and plants, and well-organized boulevards spreading over an
extent of 300 acres.

The Government Museum
It was established in the year 1886. The museum stocks rare assortments, which symbolize various
periods. The 18 galleries in the museum showcase antique jewellery, Neolithic treasure trove ofvarious civilizations and so on. Besides art lovers can find amazing sculptures and old paintings here.

Shivasamudram Falls
Shivasamudram Falls are famous for having Asia’s first hydroelectric power station. To reach here,
one needs to trek a distance of 2km while enjoying the path through lush greenery. The island town
of Shivasamudram where the River Kaveri after twisting its way through the Deccan Plateau drops off
to form incredible twin waterfalls. The falls are located about 39 kilometres from Bengaluru.
While hopping around the falls one can visit a number of ancient temples including Shivanasamuram
and Somanathpur Temple, nearby to this place. The best time to visit the waterfalls is between during
monsoon season i.e. June and September. Though, the weather remains pleasant throughout the year.
