Starting a speech :-

The first and foremost thing is, you should be in a relaxed manner before starting a speech. Second important context is Greeting. Greet

everyone with a smile . Next important thing is Eye contact. You should

look into the eyes of audience and make them follow you.

Things to be considered :- Appearance:- “Good turnout means a prepared

speaker”

1. Smart dress gives confidence to speaker.2. People are more interested in what they see than what

they hear.3. First few impressions are made by appearance.

Body language:- “Body language reinforces verbal lan-guage”

1. Use gestures i.e. moving hands in a meaningful way.2. No funereal look3. Don’t make mindless ways of moving hands i.e. Itch-

ing, Scratching, etc.

1. Neither too loud, nor too soft.2. Neither too rapid, nor too slow.3. Neither flat and monotonous.4. You should change your voice with words.5. Should be audible to everyone.
