Immanuel Church Adaptive Reuse Project
Immanuel Adaptive Reuse Project
The City Council meeting is next Tuesday, January 22nd at 5:00 P.M. The Council will be determining whether to adopt the resolution certifying the EIR.
We urge all neighbors, whether they are in support of, or against the projectto attend this meeting to be heard by the city council.
“After 24 months of ongoing outreach to the community, and discussion with TSA and community meetings with TSA and area residents, the BHNA formally adopted a position supporting the project with the following conditions:
1) Achieving approval through the planning commissionand the cultural heritage commission, 2) Addressing and mitigating concerns raised by area residents and, 3) The relocation of the contributing single family residence on Obispo will be realized and approved by the cultural heritage commission.
We have come to the conclusion that if all these conditions are met, the project will be a community asset and less of a negative impact to the community than the existing use.”
