INTRODUCTIONo BIONIC technology refers to that technology which can help in human
comfort.
o It helps people who are physically challenged by replacing there damaged parts with technological implants.
o They can be enhanced(for extra physical work), or normal, or can also be used to control other elector mechanical devices.
o Cyborgs (or half humans half robots) are a sole example of bionic technology.
NEED FOR BIONIC TECHNOLOGY
o Bionic technology helps changing live of physically unstable people.
o It gives artificial sight to blind people so that can see again. They can have normal view as humans have and can also have an enhanced view as well.
o It is a sight for sore eyes for people who have lost there limbs.
o It is more durable and more efficient against organic life.
o It helps in the evolution of humans.
CYBORGoCyborg stands for “cybernetic organisms”(Cyb-Org).
o They are a combination between man and machine.
o They can also be stated as types of robots.
oWhen a human is fitted with mechanical parts that have distinctive features, they are referred to as cyborgs.
oCreating a cyborg generally shows a huge technical advancement of that particular time period.
HISTORYo The idea of man and machine was very popular in the science fiction
world(comics,movies,etc) before world war II.
o In 1960 Manfred Clynes and Nathen Kine had combined the words cybernetics and organisms to form a new term CYBORGS.
o Prof. Kevin Warwick fired an array of 100 electrodes into his nervous system in order to link himself to the internet and also to control a robotic hand,a loudspeaker and an amplifier.
TYPES OF BIONIC TECHNOLOGIES
There are mainly 2 types of Bionic Technologies:-
o Convenient Technology:-Generally refers to the use of exoskeleton satisfying agendas beyond human capability.
o Conditional Technology:-Replanting the lost or damaged body part for normal day to day usage.
LATEST TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT:-
o Making Bionic parts for people who have lost a crucial part of their body.
o Making exoskeletos for people who want to go beyond human capabilities.
o Helping war veterans by bringing them back to there usual selves.
o Creating robots that can understand human language and perform tasks as per the humans request.
DIFFERENCE• They are a combination of living
organisms and machines.• They are basically machines that are
technically advanced.
• They can not only be humans, but animals as well.
• They are mostly machines and do not require any human interaction.
• Cyborgs are living as they are a part of the living species.
• Robots are non living as they are mostly made up of machines.
CYBORGS ROBOTS
• They are living and so they know what they are doing.
• They need to be programed to automatically do things.
