All teaching staff have unlimited durationof scheduling a meeting/real-time online class with a maximum of 300 participantsper meeting/class.
ZOOM Meeting in HKBUFor first time user, you are required to sign in to HKBU ZOOM portal using the following link (with your SSOID ready and DUO in your smartphone):

It may migrate your SSOID account to HKBU ZOOM licensed account for the first time user. You will receive an email for the migration account.

Remarks: you may assign a facilitator/teaching assistance (TA) to be a co-host after the meeting started. The co-host can manage/ control the meeting room except “start/end” meeting control or create polls

Co-host (facilitator/ TA) can manage the meeting room but they cannot start/ end the meeting. Co-host can help: 1. Help to identify the participants, and then admit/ remove

answer question (in participants window)4. Check who has raised hand to ask question (in
participants window)5. Help to monitor the online class’s audio and video that

• Departmental administrative staff may help to fill in ITO form and assign TA have the “Teaching Assistant” role in Moodle for the specific courses. For details, please check ITO website or contact ITO (ext: 7899)

• TA may set lecturer’s email as “Alternative host” when you schedule a meeting. It will transfer “Host” identity to lecturer when lecturer is the first person who starts the ZOOM meeting. Please talk to lecturer before you set the lecturer as alternative host
• The recording video will be saved in TA’s ZOOM cloud server (the person who create the meeting link via Moodle)
• TA is required to download/ share the recording video to the course lecturer.
