Brittany Glenn ’11
The Drst day of Brittany Glenn’s internshipwith the Boston Celtics just happened tocoincide with a critical game in the team’squest to become the NBA Champions lastspring. The team ultimately came up short –but the experience was a memorable onefor Glenn.
“Having the opportunity to be on the courtfor the pre-game introductions was seriouslyunbelievable,” says, Glenn, who worked withthe game operations director to coordinatesideline activities during the Celtics playoffrun. “I was so overwhelmed with excitementit was difDcult to keep my composure.”
Glenn learned about the internship througha friend who is a Bryant alumnus workingfor the Celtics. She sought assistancefrom the Amica Center for Career Educationto polish her résumé and to get tips for asuccessful interview.

Justin Andrews ’10
Justin Andrews ’10 made such a good im-pression as an intern at Mediapeel, a Lincoln,RI-based marketing Drm that specializesin content development and delivery usingtraditional and new media, he was offereda position after graduation.
Andrews now works as a business developer.
As a student, Andrews was part of themarketing class that won a competitionto name the innovative intermodaltransportation system at Rhode Island’sT.F. Green Airport. Andrews and his teamdeveloped a logo, tagline, and a brand.
“Bryant more than fulDlled everything itclaimed to offer on my Drst tour,” he says.“It gives its students every opportunityto succeed.”

Nicole Scott ’10
Nicole Scott ’10 worked as a Dnance intern inthe tax department for Raytheon InternationalSupport Company, where she calculated thetaxes for employees on overseas assignments.She also assisted in the operation and logis-tics of the accounting department.
Raytheon’s Dnance interns also took part ina major community service project. “Wevolunteered at the local public high school forthe “Let’s Get Ready” program, helping Drstgeneration high school students prepare forthe SAT. We put in so many hours – two days aweek and many hours of preparation outsideof work.
“I was able to give back to the Raytheoncommunity and to help students beyond whatthey would have learned in the classroom.It was a rewarding experience and I gained anewfound respect for professors!”

Alexandra Pearson ’11
Alexandra Pearson ’11 credits an internshipat Reebok in Canton, MA, for opening hereyes to vast career opportunities in marketresearch. During her second internship withReebok, she was a Consumer Insights Internin the company’s Brand Strategy Department.
Through online communities and focusgroups, she researched how the Reebokbrand resonates with consumers, compiledcompetitive analyses on categories withinthe industry, and evaluated qualitativeresearch. She’s taken part in a project thatinvolved skateboarders on the Dew Tourin Boston and has also traveled to Dallasand Phoenix to observe focus groups.
Pearson says the team she worked withmade a strong impression on her. “Theirwisdom and knowledge of the industry, aswell as consumer research, is what I aspireto in my own career.”

A.J. Toto ’10
After experiencing what it was like to runa campus radio station, A.J. Toto ’11 lookedto sharpen his skills interning at SIRIUSSatellite Radio in New York City.
During two separate internships at SIRIUS,Toto worked with the “The Howard SternShow” and “The Jay Thomas Show.” On atypical day, he would help edit, screen phonecalls, and run board operations. He alsodid on-air bits with Thomas, the staff, andguests.
No matter what they threw at him, Toto felthe could handle anything. “Bryant facultyprepared me to deal with different businesssituations in a professional manner,” hesays. “My experience with WJMF 88.7,Bryant’s student-run radio station, deDnitelyhelped me to land my internships.”

Merry Le ’08
Having made a solid impression duringinternships at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporationthroughout her college years, Merry Le wasoffered a full-time job before she startedher senior year. “In an engineering and opera-tion-dominant company, one of the mostexciting and rewarding parts of my job ismaking marketing matter,” says Le, who helpsto plan production, conduct research andanalysis, and market forecast in internationalmilitary markets.
As part of the team collecting consumer inputfor Sikorsky Aircraft’s next generation helicopter,Le is “really excited to help make history.”
Of Bryant, Le says, “every group project,paper, and deadline prepared me beyondthe requirements I needed to do my job.I learned to understand group dynamics,resolve issues and deliver on time.”

Jacob Bruschi ’10
Jacob Bruschi ’10 was a few months fromgraduating. Still, he was busy meetingwith clients to discuss the details of oneof the most important decisions they willmake: their life insurance policies.
He did this as an intern working for North-western Mutual, the nation’s largest providerof individual life insurance. For his efforts,Bruschi was ranked as one of the top internsamong the company’s more than 2,100interns around the country.
Bruschi, who was afDliated with The SouthernNew England Group in Providence, RI, says,“the internship also gave me a head startbuilding a client base and learning theins and outs of the business. I really hit theground running after I graduated.”
Emily Holland ’10
As an intern at CBS afDliate WBZ-TV inBoston, Emily Holland ’10 promoted the LionKing Musical. She worked with a non-proDtorganization, Buzzing 4 Change, at a hair-cutting charity event on the Boston Common.At WBZ headquarters, she regularly assistedwith marketing presentations, helped toplan and organize promotional events, andcourted potential clients during sales andad calls.
Most importantly, she learned the value ofnetworking.
“Several of my professors had urged myfellow classmates and me to get out thereand meet people in a professional setting,”she says. “That internship showed mehow to do that.”
“I trusted that my education prepared mefor a professional life,” she continues.“I am proud to tell potential employers thatI am a Bryant graduate.”
