In 2014, Walsh College established a formal partnership with the Accounting Aid Society.

Under this partnership, Walsh College’s Accounting & Taxation Student Organization provides students with training, so they may offer their accounting and business expertise at various non-profits throughout the region. The Accounting Aid Society is one example of this program, where students volunteer to provide free income tax preparation services for low and middle income households in southeast Michigan.

Masco Community Spirit Award The Accounting Aid Society presented the award to Walsh College in 2014 to “recognize those who exemplify commitment to community through actions, leadership and stewardship. Accounting Aid Society named this annual award after the Masco Corporation for its longtime support of our mission and for the company’s tradition of excellence and service.”
