body image and a obsessive desire to lose weight, in which
leads to extreme over reacting and followed by depression
and self-induced vomiting, purging or fasting
Symptom- Frequent episodes of consuming very large
amounts of food which is followed by behaviors to prevent
weight gain, self-induced vomiting, feeling out of control dur-
ing binge eating episodes, self esteem overly related to body
image.
Causes– There are no main causes for bulimia. But low self– esteem
and weight concerns play a major role in it.
Treatment– Anti depressants like fluoxetine or Prozac help
binge purge cycles along with eating disorders. Another treat-
ment which should be used with anti depressants is psycho-
logical counseling.
