Exercise ScenarioExercise Scenario
• Simulated aircraft crash at approach of RWY 24L (on engine run-up pad)
• Exercise anticipated start time is 0900
• Emergency Responders may stage on North Marginal Road 45-minutes prior to exercise if desired
• Agencies must wait until they’re notified to respond

• A live-fire aircraft simulator will be used at the exercise for the first time
• ARFF will begin respond and initiate fire attack on the simulator
• CFD will establish water re-supply to the ARFF vehicle

Treatment/Triage AreaTreatment/Triage Area
• All personnel utilize START Triage procedures• Treatment-Stabilization Area
– The Incident Commander shall designate a Treatment and Stabilization area. Physicians, nurses, EMT-B’s, EMT-I’s, Paramedics and first-aid personnel can treat and stabilize injured victims before transportation to area hospitals.
• Uninjured victims– Uninjured victims shall be removed from the accident site to
a location on the airport for observation before being released. Psychologically injured victims shall be removed from the accident site to a location on the airport where crisis counselors and airline-involved personnel can offer counseling.

USCGUSCG
• U.S. Coast Guard shall– Respond and assist with
duties as needed by the Incident Commander
– If the aircraft has gone into the water the USCG will initiate rescue and transfer injured person (s) to the shore for care
