CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Please be generous in this week’s special collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Develop-
ment. In the United States, one in six people lives in poverty. With this collection, you support programs
that address the causes of poverty and provide a sustainable future for those struggling across the
country. In addition, 25% of the funds we collect will remain in our diocese to fund local antipoverty
projects. Please prayerfully consider how you can support this collection and work on the margins.
More information about the Catholic Campaign for Human Development can be found at
www.usccb.org/cchd/collection.
SEMANA ANTES DE LA COLECTA

za.

2020 CHRISTMAS FOOD DRIVE– COVID CHANGES
St. Joseph Parish in Rochester is once again working with the Fulton County community to participate
in the United Ministries Christmas Basket Project. The COVID pandemic has introduced extra challenges
this year, so we are offering new and different ways that you can contribute, all while staying safe this
holiday season!
What You Can Do: The United Ministries needs donations of non-perishable food items that are ready-
made or that can be prepared by adding water only are especially preferred, and NEW toys for ba-
bies and children up to 12 years of age. Cash donations are also accepted and appreciated.
Some examples of non-perishable food items (not expired, please!) that are needed include:
Boxed Potatoes Canned Broth Canned Veggies Hamburger Helper
Rice Canned Soup Canned Fruit Sloppy Joe Mix
Boxed Noodles Chili with Beans Jello/Pudding Mac & Cheese
Cereal Beefaroni Fruit Cocktail Spaghetti Sauce
Instant Oatmeal Spaghetti O’s Velveeta Cheese Pasta
Peanut Butter Ramen Noodles Canned Tuna Canned Gravy
Jelly/Jam Crackers Canned Chicken
Three Ways You Can Donate:
At Mass: You may bring their donations to church before any of the masses during the TWO weekends
of 11/26-11/27 and 12/5-12/6. Simply drop off your donations at the front door of the church, and
volunteers will take them to the parish hall to be stored.
Curbside Drop Off: If you do not feel comfortable attending mass, you may drive-through for a con-
tactless drop-off of donations at the parish hall on Saturday and Sunday, anytime between 1-5 pm
of the two collection weekends. You simply pull-up to the parish hall doors and either hand your do-
nations to a mask-wearing volunteer or open your car door and leave it on the ground for us to pick
up.
Curbside Pick Up: If you do not feel comfortable leaving your home, you may call the parish office/
Judith Jennings at (317) 445-8593 and leave your name, address, and telephone number, and Ju-
dith will call you back to arrange for a contactless pick up of your food or cash donation at your
front door or other outside location. Again, volunteers will wear masks at all times.
Prayers Are Needed and Thank You: This is a difficult year for everyone, but especially for the poor in
our county who are struggling with unemployment, lack of school and childcare options, risk of evic-
tion, and feeding their families. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, the United Ministries has
been there every step of the way since March to provide emergency funding and support to help pay
rent and utility bills.
Each year, St. Joseph Catholic Church has been the single biggest donor of food for the United Minis-
tries Christmas Food Basket program, and we have for the past several years collected enough money
to purchase hams for each family. So please be as generous as you are able. And if you are not able
to donate this year, you can still contribute by keeping in your prayers all those who are involved in this
program.
May God bless you and your families!

incluyen:
Papas en Caja Caldo Enlatada Verduras Enlatadas Hamburger Helper
Arroz Sopa Enlatada Fruta Enlatada Sloppy Joe Mezcla
Fideos en Caja Chili con Frijoles Jello/Pudding Mac & Cheese
Cereal Beefaroni Coctel de Frutas Salsa de Espagueti
Avena Instantánea Spaghetti O’s Velveeta Queso Pasta
Mantequilla de Maní Fideos de Ramen Atún Enlatado Salsa Enlatada
Jelly/Mermelada Galletas Pollo Enlatado
