Colourful,vibrantCafeinthecentreofSzczecin,Poland.ColorspacewassetbythepaletteofMarmoleum.

Architects:„Wewerelookingforanideaforuniqueness,diversity,tostandoutfromthebackground.Thestripedcompositionwasactuallyimposeditselfbytheinterior,butratherbythepossibilityofthepracticaluseandadapttotheneedsofthecafe:alarge,rectangularroomwithalongglass-casealongthestreetandaslongaslongaspossiblecomfortablebar.Stripeshelpedkeepanorderinthefloodofcolors,moreover,thesamecolorsalsowerelimitingtoasetofsix"fruitandflower"powershades:daffodil,tangerine,fuchsia,hyacinth,turquoiseandlime.ColorspacewassetbythepaletteofMarmoleum.”

Wewerelookingforsimplegeometricformsandwedeliberatelyavoidedpatterns.Weusedavintagefurniturefromthecollectionoftheownerofthecafe.Weselectedthenewupholsteryforthechairsandusedthesamefabricforfinishingthelodgesinthesmallerrooms.Wealsodesignedthefurnitureofthebuildingsofthebar,thesetofthetableswithlacqueredtopsandthesteelstaircase.”
