PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONThis year’s conference is designed for primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, cardiologists, nurses and other health professionals interested in the management and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Clinical case-based presentations and vignettes will highlight general cardiology with refractory hypertension, refractory lipid and obesity management and topics such as coronary artery, valvular and cardiomyopathic disease; invasive cardiology for heart failure and arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and anticoagulation with antiplatelet strategies; venous disease with DVT and pulmonary embolus; peripheral arterial disease; TIA and stroke; syncope; AAA; and pelvic congestion treatment.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After attending this meeting, participants should be able to:
n Identify risk factors for all presented diseases;
n List guideline based testing for all presented diseases;
n List guideline based optimal medical therapy for all presented diseases;
n Discuss guideline based minimally-invasive and open surgical approach results for all presented diseases.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)Successful completion of the CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 16.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) MOC program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to the ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

CONFERENCE LOCATION AND LODGINGAll sessions will be held at The Hotel at Avalon, 9000 Avalon Boulevard, Alpharetta, GA 30009. This luxury, upscale property is in an unbeatable location within the Avalon shopping center near the Verizon Amphitheatre and North Point Mall just north of Atlanta. A limited number of rooms are available at the rate of $159. To reserve accommodations and receive the group rate, please call 678-722-3600. Please indicate that you are making reservations for the Emory Johns Creek Cardiology program. Make your reservation early as this room block will be held until April 17, 2019 or until the block is sold out, whichever comes first. After this, reservations can be made on a space available basis.
TUITIONThe tuition of $300 for physicians, $150 for other health professionals and $75 for RNs and residents includes breakfast, breaks, lunch and other amenities involved in a rewarding learning experience. Written cancellations received prior to April 15, 2019 will be refunded less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after this date.
