Background
ProcessThe first IW-25 in-wall dehumidifier was installedadjacent to the living room of a one-bedroom unit.An iMonnit data logging system was placed andhumidity sensors were placed inside and out tomonitor temperature and relative humidity (RH).
Innovative Dehumidifier Systems was contacted byproperty management at this South Florida luxuryapartment property to resolve various moisturerelated problems inside apartments. Mechanicalsystem design included unconditioned outside airbeing introduced into mechanical closets.Additionally, some of the one-bedroom units wereserved by 2-ton split air conditioners which weregrossly over-sized.
Prior to the installation of the IW-25 in-walldehumidifier, some of the two-ton air conditionerswere replaced by 1.5 ton units with someimprovement; however, RH remained elevated.

Prior to the installation of the IW-25 in-wall dehumidifier, thousands of dollars were spenton ineffective corrective action including consulting engineers, replacement mechanicalsystems and temporary solutions such as portable dehumidifiers.
