Happy/Sad Dollars:
Miguel: Was happy this morning because
after 12 years working for the Department of
Labor he tendered his resignation and is
starting his own shop as a consultant working
with business’s in the Valley. I’m certain he
will be a great success!
Stephanie: She was very happy with the
Packer’s win this weekend and for some
really awesome games!
Ken: Was happy that the football games were
exciting and as a part owner of the Green Bay
Packer’s he was happy that his team won! He
was also happy to have been with his
daughter in Paso Robles this past weekend to
celebrate her 40th birthday.
Roxy: Was happy that she is transitioning
from residential real estate to commercial real
estate and her office will be in Ontario. She
already has two listings!
Vern: Liked the football games this past
weekend and thought the Governor’s visit
was well attended (at least better than he
thought it would be). Said he liked the new
governor and hopes he does well. He is
already better than his predecessor because he
actually came to the district!
Gloria: Wanted the members to be aware of a
new program in the district that she is very
happy with. Student’s from USC are on
campus all semester working with student’s
looking for college. They work with HS
students on college applications, scholarships
and just choosing a college to attend.

Andres Discusses the Governor’s Plans!
Today Andres talked about the governor’s visit and the
programs he is promoting. He is very concerned about the Rose
Float now that International is not supporting it with the
$60,000. Paul added that he had a great picture of Cindy and
Vicky from a prior year working on the float with their kester in
the air while working in the crotch of the Teddy Bear. Andres
talked about the 1st Lady’s project which is feeding those who
are hungry at school. Rob suggested that the district follow up
and have their Director of Nutrition Services talk to the group
about what is already being done and how the club could
implement a program. Paul also asked if someone in the club
could assist in creating a doll of the Pixie logo the governor was
using.
Andres Starting the Celebration!
Happy/Sad Dollars Con’t
Rob: Was happy that it was not raining and that he was able to sit at table with other members and
not be banished to the “Timeout” table.
Mary; Was very happy with the progress her husband is making with his new treatment and
medicines. He is stronger and is making great progress!
Denise: Was just Happy! She is selling her old 2014 fully loaded Cadillac and wanted to get the
word out. I think she even mentioned a nice commission!
Pat: Was really happy that it wasn’t raining although she knows we need more rain.
Paul: Had some “Sappy” (Sad/Happy) dollars because he was able to get some backyard projects
done this last weekend with rain. He also thought the Governor’s visit was successful and happy
with the turnout but he was sad that there were only two Distinguished Kiwanis awards handed out.
Andres: He was sad that he missed a lot of football this weekend because he was painting the last
supper in his kids room. Maybe not the Last Supper but he had a lot of plaster repair during the
process. He was also happy with the governor’s visit.
