This is the call that many blockers

scrumptious supper. Amidst the
sea of yellow, one can easily
make out the extravagant feast
prepared by our Block Committee.
From pasta to fruit salads, the list
is non-exhaustive.
Throughout the semester, there will
be many themed suppers
organized by the Block Committee.
Most well-known to CD is our
Waffle night - A must-try for every
resident in hall. Hall-made batter
cooked with truckloads of love that
is tasty even when eaten plain.
How can anyone even resist that?
The splendid assortments of food is
certainty overwhelming, but wait,
theres more! What is good food
without awesome entertainment?
Usually, our Block Committee will
organize various forms of games
to engage the blockers and
facilitate interaction. If you are a
fan of popular game shows such
as Wheel of Fortune or Who
wants to be a millionaire, then it
will definitely be one enjoyable
night for you.
So do lookout for the door tagsand posters of our suppers!!! Don
your block tee, make your way
down to the CD lounge and be
prepared to be in for a gastronomic
adventure!

Led by the captains of the block and enthusiastic seniors, freshmen will explode the grounds of King Edward VII Hallas they engage in a battle of brawn and at times, thebrain.
This is the time for you to showcase what youve got!
Think youre not a sporty person? Why not?Dont be afraid to let the inner sportsman within you shine!
From tennis to netball to even sepak takraw - there is nobetter opportunity other than IBG which lets you
experience all the sports you never thought you hadpotential in.
Just ashort history on how CD fared in IBG 2010
CD was crowned the winning champion of Table Tennis,
Squash, Volleyball, Basketball, Floorball, Handball,
Road Relay & Badminton!
That is 8 Gold medals out of all 13 sports played!
It has been 9 years since CD has achieved so much
during IBG. However, this victory did not come easy as
the block lacked seniors and was at disadvantage in
terms of experience. It was the freshmen that made the
unbalanced difference. Against all odds, CD proved that
with gusto and enthusiasm, we were able to strive evenin the face of adversity. We became the underdog, the
black horse, and it was nothing short of astounding.
Join us in this coming IBG and together bring glory
to CD once again!

small actions as such can touch thehearts of people.
It is really important that a level ICtakes the initiative to mingle andbond the blockers. It is only wheneveryone is bonded can we trulyexperience what we call block spirit. Fang Ming, Level IC 09/10
Publicity
The Publicity sub-committee has
simply one role - Awareness.
We should never underestimate how small
actions as such can touch the hearts of
people. Fang Ming, Level IC 09/10
Without coverage and awareness, how will the resident CD blockerkeep up with the latest affairshappening in CD Block and realisewhat fun he/she missed out? Givingsneak previews and sharingmemories of past events; these areall part of a Publicity members job.
'I remember the times when wehelped re-decorate the CDnoticeboards which displayed thosememorable moments, and made
personalised door tags for every CDblocker to help them feel a sense ofbelonging.
It was so much fun! This is our way
of helping them feel they belong
here and be proud of our vibrant CDblock.- Linus Tan, Pubs 10/11
