• Over 300 participants since November 2011• 57 returned online and end-of-meeting
evaluations• Improved awareness of how cash, future and
option markets work• Increased knowledge about marketing tools• Learned new marketing skills by trading
futures and options without real financial loss.
Lessons Learned• Self-directed learners benefitted the most• Multiple ways to learn: totally online,
Workbook, webcast recordings, small groups• Computers on site at first class to assist with
secure log-ins• Weekly instructor e-mails to provide participant
encouragement and answer questions• Fits well over 15 weeks (semester course) or
mid-November to March (Ag Marketing Clubs)
