Research Question
How will a 1:1 ratio of Google Chromebooks, used to increase collaboration, impact student’s ability to collect, interpret and analyze data?

Data Collection Methods– Lab Assessments:
• Common standard rubric assess ability to present, interpret, and analyze data.
• Four labs conducted during first semester• First lab used as pre-assessment (data to follow)
2. Student/Parent Cite Council• Monthly discussions current data, troubleshooting,
student & parent perspective• Improvements/ changes made immediately
3. Student Technology Feedback Survey• Focuses on the following: general and educational
technology use, comfort, technology influence on learning, etc
• Given four times during first semester

Reflections: RottInteresting, exciting or surprising results
• Amazing to see students collaboratively problem solving (technology and class concepts)
• Organization for both students and I is greatly increased
Anecdotal Evidence
• 1:1 device ratio provides the opportunity, and challenge, to completely change the way curriculum is presented
• Paperless Classroom
Questions & Challenges
• I like Chromes, but.....• Training students to use various technological tools took longer
than expected

Reflections - ChildersInteresting, exciting or surprising results
• Comfort level range increased • How low can you go...initial scores surprising, second opportunity
still surprising.• Achievement gap in our assessments not large
Anecdotal Evidence
• A standardized rubric standardized what they aren't reading • Paperless classroom requires a change in emphasis. Our
instruction needs to adapt.
Questions & Challenges
• Dan's the man...does every one have one? • What is the equity of rolling this out on a larger scale? Is it fair
not to?
