The Board of Child Care is a nonprofit human services organization serving children and families in Maryland, West Virginia and the District of Columbia as an outreach ministry of the United Methodist Church.

Across the agency, children participate in spiritual life activities to enrich personal growth and provide comfort.
Our Residential Care Program
The Board of Child Care’s largest program is residential care for children and youth referred by state agencies. The program focuses on treatment and engaging experiences for youth within a structured campus setting.

Our Volunteers: The Auxiliary
Since 1953, the Auxiliary has served as an independent volunteer organization for BCC. More than 3,000 Auxiliary members act as extended family members for BCC’s children, providing love and support at the holidays, on birthdays and during summer breaks.
