Citrus offers a variety of top-notch performance ensembles to prepare youfor a successful career in music. Ourmusic ensembles have received nationaland international acclaim and regularlyperform concerts in Hawaii, Japan andEurope. Many students have gone on toperform with major rock acts such as NoDoubt, Green Day, the Offspring, andChris Cornell. We also have former stu-dents performing in Las Vegas, onBroadway, on cruise ships and through-out the world as well as continuing theirtraining at prestigious music schools andconservatories.

As an instrumental music student atCitrus College, you’ll have access to thestate-of-the-art Entertainment TechnologyComplex, which includes the 1,440-seatHaugh Performing Arts Center, twoworld-class audio recording studios, twomixing suites, digital post productionfacilities, and full dance and drama stu-dios. Entertainment industry clients whohave used our facilities for their musicalproductions include Disney®,Nickelodeon®, Interscope Records, TheBlack Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, TheAquabats and Royal Crown Review to

name a few. Our faculty and studentshave performed for a variety of premiertalents in the music industry, such asGwen Stefani, Kevin Lyman (The WarpedTour), John Avila (Oingo Boingo, RealBig Fish); have been featured on national-ly broadcast television shows, such asSaturday Night Live, Good MorningAmerica, David Letterman, and variousawards shows; and have recorded in TVcommercials, on HBO and feature moviessuch as “The Mighty Ducks III.”

At Citrus College, you will develop yourmusicianship by playing in a wide varietyof quality instrumental music ensembles.Some of the dynamic ensembles we offerare Jazz, Rock, Classical, Funk and Salsa.The applied music program will assist indeveloping your potential as a musicianand a student. Classes in songwriting,electronic music and recording arts willprepare you for the expanding role oftoday’s musician. You will develop acomprehensive music background studying music fundamentals, harmony,musicianship and music history.

College AdmissionAdmission to Citrus College is opento high school graduates and anyperson 18 years of age or over.

To enroll, submit an application foradmission online at:https://wingspan.citruscollege.edu

New students enrolled in five ormore units and planning to earn anassociate degree, a certificate ofachievement, or a skill award musttake an English and math skillsassessment. In addition, all new stu-dents are required to participate inan orientation session.

Concurrent Enrollment for High School StudentsSome programs and classes are available to current junior and senior high school students.Interested students should contacttheir high school counselor or thecollege’s Admissions and RecordsOffice.

Associate DegreeFor an associate degree, a studentmust complete 60 degree-applica-ble units of work and fulfill spe-cific general education require-ments, including electives andphysical education. A cumulativegrade-point average of 2.0 (“C”)or above is required.
