We ran some research about the usage of some spanish words to
be able to focused our campaign
Our market segment was:
– Males
– 15 to 45 years old
– Lived in Santiago, Chile
– Interests in: tennis, soccer, sports, outgoing
– Based on the previous survey that we did for OAP

We used a Cost Per Click approach with the following list of words
(in english it’s the translation to english)
The keyword that weren’t accurate were:
– Cancha de tenis (Tennis courts)
– Ariendo de canchas (sportsfield for rental)
We got 7 clicks and 70 views in one day of campaign

We are currently using this campaign since Sunday 2nd of
December (just one day).
We had a total payment of 781 CLP (1,62 USD)
We will use this tool until next Sunday, we want to run it at least for
this week to control for weekly seasonality (weekends at noon are
slower than weekdays).
It’s a cost eficient way to get attention.

But it’s not so effective as Google Adwords…

We also created a fanpage in Facebook
But… we had some problem
Facebook shut down our account (suspended) for unknown reasons
We had an online campaign ready to be launched last Sunday
(same schedule as our Google Adwords campaign) but we couldn’t
do it
We are working to fix this issue, because Facebook it’s the
predominant social network here in Chile

With just one day and a half of our campaign, we have the following
results, with 12 days since we uploaded it:
– Users before the campaign: 0 users.
– Users after the campaign: 2 users.
– Views of our webpage: 125 users (10,4 per day, growing this two
previous days).
– Unique visitors: 36 users.
– % if new visitors: 42,35%.
So, we had a decent unique visitors rate, but the visitors are not
registering. We think that this is because we had an amateur video
presentation of the product, so they didn’t understood the concept.
We hope that now we will improve this number with the better
commercial

We are going to continue with our marketing campaign
– Google Adwords until next Sunday
– Twitter as usual
– We will try to solve the problem with our Facebook account
We want to build a user’s database of at least 200 registered users
in one week. With that information, we’re going to try again to talk
with owner’s to get their feedbak and after that, build the system!
