Admissions
General admission procedure
1. Admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, M.Sc.(Ag.) and Ph.D. program is done through a competitive entrance examination for which online application has to be submitted to the Coordinator, JET/Pre-PG, SK Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner/MPUAT, Udaipur, whenever requisitioned through a notification.
2. Admission of in-service candidate of Swami Keshwananad Agricultural University, Bikaner will be done according to the existing rules of the University.

Course requirements for post graduate programs (M.Sc. (Ag.) & Ph.D.)
Students admitted to a post-graduate programme have to complete a minimum
requirement of courses as prescribed for the programme. The academic session from July
to June is divided into two semesters of approximately 17 weeks of teaching inclusive of
time taken final semester examination. Admission in Ph.D. is done in second semester.
1. Advisory system
Every student shall have a major adviser who shall be from the student's major field of
study. The programme of study of the student will be chalked out by the major adviser and
the advisory committee after taking into account the student's previous academic
attainments as per rules.

2. Attendance Requirements.
A student shall be required to maintain a minimum of 75 per cent attendance
from the date of registration in each course to appear in final semester exam. A
further relaxation of 10 per cent on minimum attendance may be granted by VC
on cogent grounds on recommendation by the Dean of the college.
En-masse absence from the classes shall not be ignored while counting the
attendance for the semester.
Students who are deputed by the college / university authorities to represent
the college/university in approved co-curricular activities e.g. Republic day
parades, education, tours, games and sports etc. at college / district / state /
national level, will be given the credit of attendance to the extent of the number
of lectures delivered during the period devoted towards the journey and
participation in connection with the aforesaid activities. The total periods of
such absence from college shall not exceed 8 days in a semester.

Prospectus
The application forms can be obtained from the website (www.chscraubikaner.org),
personally from the counter or by post by sending a bank demand draft from a
Nationalized Bank for Rs. 1500/- for Gen/OBC/BC/ST Candidates and for SC Rs. 750/-
drawn in favor of the Dean, College of Home Science, SKRAU, Bikaner. The candidate
should carefully study the admission rules and make sure that he/she fulfills the prescribed
qualifications.
Mode of Admission
Counseling/interview(s)
All the candidates selected for admission to UG and PG programmes will be required to
complete all the formalities for the admission including the payment of the required fees as
and when they are allotted the seat during the counseling. ICAR listed students are also
given admission.

Admission of foreign students
Foreign students are normally admitted under the category of ICAR nominee or through a
bilateral arrangement with the University, if any.
Registration
A candidate selected for admission shall report to the college on the prescribed date and
pay her fees of admission and get herself registered within the period notified to her. If a
candidate fails to get herself registered with in this period, the Dean under very special
circumstances, subject to the approval of the Vice-Chancellor and also on availability of
seat, register her after realizing the fine as per rules. Students already enrolled in a
programme of study will be required to fill up every year application forms for subsequent
years for registration.
Note: The fees can be increased or decreased as per University regulations at the time of
registration.
INSTITUTE OF AGRI BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Admission rules for M.B.A. (AB) & Ph.D. (AB) Programs
1) For admission to MBA (Agri Business):
Indian Nationals below 30 years of age and possessing Bachelor's degree in
Agriculture or Allied fields (Horticulture / Vet. & Animal Science / Dairy Science /
Dairy Technology / Food Science / Food Technology / Agricultural Engineering /
Agri Business/ Agro Forestry / Home Science / Fisheries, etc.) will be considered
eligible for admission to the programme. There is no age bar for in service
candidates for MBA(AB).
The degree should be from any University or Institution recognized by ICAR/UGC
with a minimum of 60 per cent marks (55 % for SC / ST/OBC) or equivalent in
terms of OGPA.
Admission shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in all India level entrance
test recognized by the institute.
Admission process will be followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal
Interview (PI) conducted by the institute. Merit list shall be prepared by giving
weightage as 30, 10, 10, 20, 30 on CAT (entrance test) score, 10th, 12th , GD & PI
respectively. Minimum qualifying marks shall be fifty percent in GD & PI, separately.
2. For admission to PhD (Agri Business):
For Ph.D. (Agri Business) by course work programme, a candidate must possess a
Master’s degree in Agribusiness Management/ Business Administration/ equivalent
programme with at least 6.5/10.00 OGPA or equivalent percentage from recognized
institute/university. MSc (Ag.) or allied subjects with five years of work experience
will also be eligible for admission.
All eligible candidates have to appear for written examination followed by Group
Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Minimum qualifying marks shall be
fifty percent in GD & PI, separately. Merit list shall be prepared by giving weightage
as 50, 10, 15, 10, and 15 on written test, Graduation, Post Graduation, Group
Discussion and Personal Interview scores. Minimum qualifying marks shall be fifty
percent in GD & PI, separately.
