3Vocabulary adjetivos, comparativos
parejas o grupos.
2 Are the sentences true (T) or false (F)? Los alumnos contestan de forma
individual o en pareja si las frases son verdaderas o falsas. Corrige en
voz alta con toda la clase.
Respuestas: 1 True 2 True 3 False 4 True 5 True 6 False 7 False

3 What do you think? Los alumnos deciden de forma individual qué
prefieren. Ánimales a escribir frases dando razones de sus preferencias.

razones de su elección. Si quieres, puedes ampliar la actividad y hacer
una encuesta, representando mediante un gráfico en la pizarra las
respuestas de toda la clase.
Vocabulary adjectives, comparatives
Preparing the activity for pairwork. Make one photocopy of
page 1 per pair and a photocopy of page 2 per pupil. Cut page 1 along
the dotted line.
Give Pupil A the reading about Charlie and their friend, Pupil B, the
reading about Alex. The pupils read and ask you any questions they
have about the texts. To focus their attention on the task, ask them to
underline the adjectives they find.
Give each pupil a copy of page 2. They work together to tick the boxes
by reading out parts of their texts and deciding if the sentences are true
or false. You could have a competition to see who gets the most right.
Go over the answers with the class and pupils correct the false
sentences.
Individual grammar practice activity. Make a copy of both pages for
each pupil. They look at the two texts and tick the boxes. It may be
helpful if the pupils work in groups or pairs to check their answers
before correcting as a class.
2 Are the sentences true (T) or false (F)? The pupils work individually or
in pairs to decide whether the sentences are true or false. Go over
the answers with the class.
Answers: 1 True 2 True 3 False 4 True 5 True 6 False 7 False 8 True
9 True 10 True 11 False 12 True 13 False
3 What do you think? Pupils decide individually which they prefer.
Encourage pupils to write sentences giving reasons for their
preferences. Feed back as a group through a show of hands for each
question and asking for reasons. Extend the activity by turning it into
a survey and making a class graph of the answers.
