Zero Conditional
if + present simple

We use the zero conditional to talk about general truths. If you press the button, the machine switches off.
Water if the temperature falls below zero.

If you put your money in a saving account, you ten per interest.

We use the first conditional to talk about possible things in the future. If Philippe propose a marriage to Jane, she will
accept it.
If Candan attends the meeting, I won’t be there.
China and Russia will launch an assault if opposing forces of the U.S.A attack Iran.
If you pay enough money, you will be offered a good cruise holiday.
Both parts of the conditional sentence here are talking
about the future.
Although we don’t use future tense in the part with “if”

We use the second conditional for events and situations which are unlikely, imaginary or impossible.What would you do if you were the president of Turkey?

We often use if + were instead of if + was with the pronouns “she, he,
it and I”

We use these to talk about events or situations which we would like to be true now.
