What is an iConnect group? Is it a place where people hold hands in a circle and sing “Kumbaya”? Or do they repeat weird chants and turn their heads 360 degrees? If those ideas came to your mind, man, you’ve got some issues! In all seriousness, iConnect is a place where people meet for an hour every fortnight to study the Word, build relationships and grow in God. More than that, it’s a place of discipleship; the leaders are there to serve as mentors, available to meet with each person every month to encourage their walk with God. When I was in school, I loved being involved in the 400 metre hurdle event. But there was one kid who was the best (and he knew it). He beat me every time. One day, a parent came up to me and said that he would like to coach me.
He knew I had the talent but not the technique. When we started pre-season training, he pushed me to my limits; he corrected me when I messed up and taught me discipline. There were times when I disliked being pushed so hard. Deep down, however, I knew it had to be done. That coach helped me to become the best that I could be, and I ended up beating that punk kid the following year.A coach is similar to a mentor. When we are accountable to someone, it’s much easier to remain devoted in our relationship with God. Let me challenge you to join an iConnect in 2012, get mentored and become all you were meant to be for

siem reapcambodia
Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia, a coun-try filled with wonder, poverty, architecture, beautiful people and a very strong sense of the spiritual. The people here are hungry for knowledge and as it says in Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowl-edge”.
We have met great young men who love God and want to bring Him to the people but they have had no teaching or leader-ship training to help them. They feel inad-equate and are searching for someone to help. Praise God He has brought us to this place.
We are still getting the feel of the language and culture and feel that this will always be a learning area in our lives. We love the newness of each day and look forward to what God will do.
James 4:15 – We ought to say “If the Lord wants us to, we will do this or that”. It is a great place to be when each day we say “what are you going to do today Lord?”
Our house is set up for a church-come-Training Centre and we have made the bedrooms nice and comfortable for our guests.
Praise God we have both been well and sickness is defeated in our bodies in the name of Jesus. Keep us in your prayers as we venture on this great journey and we welcome all prayer, financial and commu-nicative support for the great things God has planned for C3 Siem Reap.

everywoman 2012
Everywoman is a ministry that gives every woman – young and young at heart – the opportunity to embrace life’s seasons together.
Our special events include inspiring speakers, food, fun and lots of laughter. We also hold a yearly conference, which impacts women from all over our great city.Everywoman is about being inclusive, not exclusive. We love meeting new
women and including them in our world. My heart is for all women to reach their God-given potential, and to make lasting friendships along the way.
What really makes Everywoman amazing is YOU! I invite you to come and be a part of us in 2012. Together we can enjoy the journey, living life to its fullest.
Don’t forget to mark the dates for our 2012 events in your calendars, and bring a friend or two with you.

Bobby and I also asked Jordan and Bianca Taurua to take on the Assistant Youth Pastor role with the idea of succession taking place at the beginning of 2012.This decision was bittersweet as we absolutely love leading and spending time with the youth every week. However, God confirmed this as the right decision with Jordan and Bianca rising to the challenge with excitement and big ideas. 2012 will kick off with the Taurua’s as Youth Pastor’s and Bobby and I as oversight. On a more personal note, can I say that it has been the greatest honor to serve our youth - I am sure we have received more than we gave.Looking forward to watching the youth grow under our new Youth pastors in 2012.

A big shout out to all the 18 to 30 year olds: 2012 is gonna be off the hook! Young adults, we are soldiers of faith – called to make a difference in our church, university and workplace. Change Is coming. Because we are warriors and leaders, C3 will not be a place where young adults are treated like infants and hear “baby formula” messages. You will be challenged; issues in your life will be confronted and demons will be slain. We are calling all 18 to 30 year olds to participate in this ministry so that we can make a difference in our city together. This is the year when we will awaken the giant in us.

Welcome to anotheryear
Ps Claude CarrelloSenior Minister
Once again, another year has gone by and a new one has begun. It’s a time when we can enjoy our families, have barbecues and play cricket in the backyard. Sadly, the holidays don’t last forever, and soon we’ll be back at work and school. If you’re like me and prefer living with variety and spontaneity, being in routine can be a real drain.
So how can avoid the back to work blues?
Recognise the BenefitsOne routine I really enjoy in the morning is having a nice strong espresso - the one where the spoon stands up without touching the sides! Once I’ve had my coffee I can face making the bed, having a shower, brushing my teeth and drinking a wheatgrass and fruit juice. I look forward to the first routine very much. The others I do because I have to do them. Let’s face it, the domestic duties and personal hygiene stuff aren’t just for me, but for the benefit of my family. The juice is important for inner health, just as reading my Bible and praying helps me to be spiritually healthy.
Routine, like it or not, has its benefits.
The Power of Every DayI have really enjoyed having a grandson. It is a delight to get a second chance at parenting – without all the responsibility! Of course, I don’t take the influence I have on baby Romeo lightly. However, after being through the routine a thousand times before with our four children, caring for him feels quite easy and natural. I know what can be laughed at, admired, or ignored. I also know what doesn’t work.“Everyday” is another word for routine. Every day I would love, discipline and disciple my children. The fruit of their lives (and gaps) that have resulted from my parenting has made me realise that my own everyday contributions have a powerful effect.
Practicing routines on an everyday basis can increase your confidence this year.
Change it UpHas your devotional routine lost its flavour? Maybe it’s time to change it a little. Put some great podcasts on your iPod or phone and head out for a walk while you listen. Ask your pastor for their list of “three books that changed my life” (besides the Bible) and read them this year – before Easter!Have you been smashing out reps at the gym with no real results? Get a personal trainer and let them give you a fresh circuit. You may not be able to change the routine of making your bed, but you can change the doona and those annoying decorative pillows! Who sees these things besides you anyway?
Vary your routine, and it will help you get the most out of every day.

Hey Guys, I’m calling our church to a 21 day fast. I’d like to invite the movement to unite in fasting at the same time. Many of our guys fast at times through the year, but if we could do it in unison it’d be a powerful event.
We have seen may great things come out of fasting seasons in times past.
I think we will see many more. The fasting could take on a variety of forms over the time. Our own people do Daniel fasts, or no sweets, or limit it to just eating evening meals, or fast for a few days each of the weeks etc.
