Children in Need
Dear Parents/Carers, It is Children in Need on Friday 15th November. We would like to help raise money for this worthy cause by charging each child £2.50 to:
Wear Pudsey clothes or something yellow,
Take part in ‘On the Move’ activities,
Guess Pudsey’s middle name and by
Holding a Healthy Snack Stall (donations of fruit, flapjacks and yogurts would be helpful).
Thank you from the School Council.
Open Evening—Thursday 21st November @ 5.00pm Last term a Safeguarding Questionnaire was sent home to all families. As a result of this, you
asked for more information on the safety and addictive nature of online gaming and bullying.
Therefore we have organised an open evening on Thursday 21st November at 5.00pm.
During this evening P C Hodges will share with you…
information regarding online gaming such as COD, Fortnite & GTA,
the legalities of online gaming,
how to protect and safeguard you children whilst online at home, and
the addictive nature of online gaming.
For Reception children and above there will also be an opportunity for you to receive your
child’s HWB and Active Learn (Bug Club) login details.
The open evening will end with the school launching our new website.
Child care will be available on the evening with the children being supervised in the Cwtsh.
We look forward to seeing you on the 21st.
A message from our PTA.

Celtic Credit Union Schools
Savings Club Programme
continues to grow from
strength to strength.
We are now considered the
Number One Credit Union
in the UK for Schools Sav-
ings.
Hundreds of pupils all across
Neath Port Talbot are saving
in their schools with our
Credit Union. Some of these
pupils are developing their
numeracy and communica-
tion skills by helping to
operate the Savings Club,
with some of the older pu-
pils linking their involve-
ment to the Welsh Bacca-
laureate or Duke of Edin-
burgh Award.
More than 40 schools are
currently taking part in the
scheme and new schools are
applying to join us every
month.
We believe that ALL pupils
in Neath Port Talbot should
have access to a School
Savings Club.

Did you know that Celtic Credit Union operates a Schools Savings Club in your school?
NUMBER ONE iN YOUR
COMMUNITY FOR SAVINGS &
LOANS
Since starting our Schools Savings Club
programme in 2009 we have helped thousands of
pupils save thousands of pounds. Our Savings
Clubs aim to show each new generation of pupils
the value of saving - a habit which seems to be in
decline.
YOUR Savings Club is operated by pupils from
Y5/6 supported by a member of staff every
Thursday morning from 09.00 - 9.15 in the
CWTSH. If you would like to help your children
start saving - whether it’s for something special or
nothing in particular - we would love to hear from
you!
It takes just £1.00 to open a Junior Account then you can save as much or as little
as you like every week (or as often as you can). Just complete the Application
Form on the back of this Newsletter and return it to the school with a minimum
of £1.00 to get your child started.
Savings can be withdrawn during the last week of each term - but many children
choose to just keep on saving.
Grown ups are welcome too!
Come and see us at THE HUB in Pontardawe. We are open from 10am
until 3pm every Tuesday. Why not pop in to pick up a leaflet, have a chat
or maybe open an account? Adult Savers can get access to our ethical,
affordable loans …. much cheaper than credit cards and payday lenders.
Come and see what your Credit Union can do for you!
