PegasusPegasusBefore you are scheduled to be
converted to Windows 2000, you need to “clean house”. Open Pegasus
from your Start menu or by double clicking on the desktop shortcut.
PegasusPegasus• Delete all unnecessary emails from your New Mail Folder,
filing trays and folders (the more files you have the longer the conversion will take)
• Move all emails into filing trays and folders (anything left in the New Mail Folder will not be converted)
PegasusPegasus
Once a folder is “cleaned up”:
• Right-click the folder
• Choose Recover deleted space
PegasusPegasusRecover deleted space
“When you delete a message from a folder, Pegasus Mail does not immediately reclaim the space it occupies; instead, it waits until you have deleted around 20000 characters from the folder then recovers all the space in a single pass. This deferred compression improves the performance of the program at the cost of some disk space. Select this option to force Pegasus Mail to recover the space from a folder immediately. Compression is always a safe option and does not result in the loss of anything other than deleted information. You cannot compress tray entries.” - Pegasus Help
