During the 1700, breakfast was usually

very large and consisted of meat and grain. It

was also considered as the most important

meal of the day.

This meal was usually the biggest meal of the day. Stew, or soup, was

usually had or if you were wealthy, supper consisted of meat and

vegies.

DRINKSmost people drank

beer ,apple juice, and apple cider because water was usually not safe to drink, and milk was not fresh

usually because of no way to

keep it cool and most people

did not have cows are goats.Clip Art

Soldiers food

Every day soldiers were suppose to get a ration of food.

A soldiers ration consisted of,

a pound of bread

a pound of meat

 a gill of dry beans or peas

a gill of rum

A soldier was very lucky indeed if

he received ½ of that!
