Welcome Valued Families of Kidi Kingdom Child Care Centre – Coomera.

It has been a busy month here at the Kidi Kingdom Child Care Centre - Coomera, welcoming our new enrolments into the centre and welcoming our new Kindergarten Teacher, Miss Lynne. Thank you to all our families who have atttended and contributed to our special centre events. It is great to see you all attending and being involved in centre operations. We have now started our morning courtesy bus service, who Miss Rebecca is our courtesy bus driver. If you wish to know more about this service please see me at your convenience. Easter School Holidays are approaching fast, there are limited spaces left for the Vacation Care program. I recommend to secure your booking at your earliest convenience. The school holiday program is available for you to book in now. As you can see our centre has welcomed some new faces. As we are fillling up fast, this is the opportunity for you to increase your children's days and tell your friends to come and enrol at our centre! EARLY LEARNERS - Dear Early Learners Families, Firstly, I would like to welcome the new families to

our Early Learners classroom, it has been lovely to get to know each individual child. Thank you to all

for the Facebook likes and support throughout the last few months. Secondly, the children have been

showing a lot of interest in group time activities. We have been focusing on finger puppets and singing

songs. The children have displayed music and movement skills by either dancing, moving or clapping

hands. If you would like to know any of the songs we sing throughout the days please let me know, I

will be more than happy to write it down for you so you can sing at home as well. Every day we focus

on colours, animals, numbers and names. The children are slowly starting to say a few words. Thirdly,

every morning your child will be allocated a cot with their names on it. You are more than welcome to

leave your child's blankets and sheets here throughout the week. If you want to take them home on the

last day they attend, to wash them, that would be great. I have also labelled all the baskets in the

kitchen and in the nappy change room. We were writing the names on each individual nappies but we

have allocated boxes for each now so we will not be writing the names on the nappies. We have so

much fun during the day here in Early Learners, it has been absolutely amazing to get to know your

child individually. I really adore each and everyone one of them and thank you for choosing me to be

their teacher. Thank you, Miss Sarah and Miss Natalie.

JUNIOR EARLY YEARS - Dear Families of Junior Early Years and Early Years. What a wonderfully

busy month we have had in the Junior Early Years classroom. We have been settling well into our new

classroom, and there is lots of space for more exciting learning activities and experiences happening.

We've enabled a solid routine happening in the classroom and Miss Sallie and I are very proud to see

the children develop into their skills as the weeks go by. We've been enjoying playing with the new

areas and resources in our class and can’t wait to expand on our creativity and make our room even

more fun and interactive. Yoga with Miss Goldie has been a big hit in the Junior Early Years classroom,

we have been loving the visits, the dancing , the singing and the stretching! A big thank you to our

amazing families for donating their toys and recycled goods, we appreciate it very much. These will go

to great use to embedding sustainable practices with the children. Thank you, Miss Stephanette and

Miss Sallieann.

EARLY YEARS/PRE-PREP - Dear Early Years/Pre-Prep Families, Welcome to the Pre-Prep

classroom. We have been very busy over the past few weeks settling into new routines and transitions.

We have been working hard on building a positive environment and the children are being supported to

make positive choices. We have also been developing pre-literacy skills, such as building knowledge

of letter recognition and sounds. As part of this we have a focus letter each week where children are

engaging in a variety of experiences and activities, which are supporting their learning. We had a great

excursion to Bunnings last week where children picked some vegetable and flower plants. We have

been busy getting our garden ready and have now planted these. We can't wait to watch our plants

grow so we can harvest them. Children are learning about caring for and respecting the environment

and in the coming weeks we will be looking at sustainability and what this means. Your input is valued,

therefore if you have any goals you wish for me to incorporate into the program, please do not hesitate

to see me. Thankyou, Miss Lynne.

SCHOOL CARE - Dear Families of School Care. What a fun and exciting month it has been. This

month in the schoolies room we have been busy arranging and decorating the classroom. We are

working on encouraging children to express their ideas and follow on with their interests, this helps

build confidence, expressing ownership and pride of their art work and ideas are being included into the

program, making it an interesting, happy and inviting place to be. At the moment the children are

showing great interest in physical play including soccer, football and ball games which allows the

children to develop fine and gross motor skills, agility, balance and coordination, and working together

as a team to problem solve. It has been a pleasure to work alongside the children. It is not long until our

Easter Vacation Care and we can’t wait, as it is a fun filled program! This program was developed

through recapping on what our children enjoy the most and extending on it and making it challenging

and exciting. We love and encourage all members of our families to provide new and interesting ideas

to the room programming through photos, birthday and family celebrations, or exciting adventures from

the weekend. Thank you, Miss Bec.
