Introduction
Hello everyone! Today, we will be studying a bit about the Coronavirus. We will learn what it is and how to
keep ourselves safe from it.
Grade 1 to 3
Healthy Habits
The first thing we must do when we are trying to keep healthy is to practice healthy habits. This includes
keeping clean, eating healthy food, resting and keeping fit (doing exercise). To review healthy habits, do
the activity below:
1. Circle the healthy habits:
Eat fruits and vegetables.
Drink Water
Sleep
Watch TV. Eat junk food.
Do excercise.
Keep busy Stay up all night
2. Think of you favourite meal. If you could eat anything you want for lunch, what would it be? Draw it
on this plate and label the food in English (if you don´t know the word, look it up or ask for help). Is
your favourite meal healthy? If not, what can you change to make it better?

The show you the importance of washing your hands, you can do one of these activities:
1. Hand washing technique
i. Butter your hands and dip them in sugar. This represents the germs. You will do this three
times:
ii. Wash your hands for the first time by only rinsing them in cold water.
iii. Wash your hands for the second time by using soap and cold water and only washing them
for 10 seconds.
iv. Wash your hands for the third time with warm water and soap while rubbing them for 20
seconds.

HOW HEALTHY ARE YOU?
1. How many times do you exercise per week?
a. I am active/ I exercise three to five times a week.
b. I am inactive. I don´t do any exercise apart from PE lessons in school.
c. I am active/ I exercise five to seven times a week
d. I am not very active/ I do some exercise maybe once or twice a week
2. Do you eat fruits?
a. I eat some fruits/ I eat fruits maybe a few times a week
b. I never eat fruit or rarely. I don´t remember the last time I had a fruit.
c. I like to have a fruit every day
d. I eat fruits in every meal. I eat at least 2 fruits a day.
3. Do you have your meals?
a. I always miss my breakfast. I never have time to eat my breakfast in the morning
b. I sometimes miss breakfast, but not always. Well, at least I try not to.
