CPE Business Spotlight Digital Media - ICTC - Fulton, MS
by Alex Brown on December 6, 2019
The ICTC, or Itawamba Career & Technical Center, is located in Fulton, MS. The mission of Itawamba Career & Technical Center is to cultivate the potential in our students by integrating rigorous classroom instruction with relevant, work-based experiences that inspire, guide, and empower them for post-secondary college and/or careers. Our CTE programs bridge the academic, employability, and technical skills that prepare
students for leadership roles in the working world. At ICTC, our vision is to provide a focused, caring, and stimulating environment where all students will recognize and achieve their fullest potential while preparing to make their best contributions to society. Digital Media Technology emphasizes the techniques and tools used in digital media and the creative design of such media. The course focuses on the basic areas of computer graphics, multimedia, animation and video production. The students are also exposed to state-of-the-art equipment and software such as Apple iMacs, WaCom graphing tablet monitors, HD Digital & Video Cameras, Adobe Creative Suite 4 software, and Apple's Final Cut Pro editing software.
Mr. Andy Nichols is the instructor of the Digital Media pathway. He has been an instructor of this pathway since 2008. His main hobbies have been shooting pool, playing snooker and reading. He is always happy, glad to provide help for his students, and likes to experiment around with new projects. Mr. Nichols has given me the opportunity for an internship. He has provided this by allowing me to help the students work on their projects. He has also allowed me to help with setting up, testing, and making sure the audio equipment was good and running for our podcast.
