An International Exhibition: 53% of foreign exhibitors and over 24 countries represented worldwide confirm the internationality of the Exhibition, which is the result of the continuing promotional activities on international markets, and of the renowned Mondomusica brand worldwide. In particular, the promotional activities for 2015 and 2016 were and will be concentrated in the following countries: United States, Germany and France.
A novelty introduced in 2015 were two large German delegations: one from Bavaria (already present at Mondomusica for several years), and one from Hesse, which took part in it for the first time: over 40 great craftsmen chose Cremona to present their best productions. They confirmed their participation at Mondomusica also for 2016.
Broadening the Acoustic Guitar Village: after the success of the first two editions, an increasing number of luthiers and guitar companies are ready to be involved in the project in 2016, also thanks to the cooperation with Alessio Ambrosi, who will bring to Cremona the Acoustic Guitar Meeting of Sarzana, the most important Italian festival dedicated to the acoustic guitar, classical and modern.

AN INTERNATIONALIZED EXHIBITION!Mondomusica is one of the most internationalized exhibitions in Italy. We could reach this result thanks to the continuous international promotion done by CremonaFiere: presentations to the major foreign markets, targeted communications to international professionals, relationships with important musical institutions and an high-level buyers programme.
A LARGE PUBLIC OF PROFESSIONAL AND AMATEUR MUSICIANSThe interest in the exhibitions is confirmed also by one of the most significant category of visitors: the musicians. If we analyse the professional musicians category, we find out that 65% of them are stringed instruments players, without counting the 33% of amateur musicians of strings.
MONDOMUSICA IS KNOWN AT GLOBAL LEVELThe figures related to the provenance of foreign visitors confirm that the public of Mondomusica comes from the 5 continents. This means that the exhibition is well know at global level, and recognized by the professionals as the world-wide most important marketplace.

A UNIQUE PROGRAMME WITH V.I.P.s
Special events
Mondomusica, Piano Experience and the Acoustic Guitar Village have hosted in the last edition, 95 artistic and cultural events including concerts, masterclasses, workshops and presentations; 58 of them were organized directly by CremonaFiere and the remaining by the exhibitors. This year we hosted very important people including:
International Competition “A. Ponchielli”: an important novelty that opened Mondomusica to the world of wind instruments. In the first edition we were already at the second position in Italy for the number of participating bands: 26 bands, meaning more than 1,400 musicians. The competition had an international jury and has been very appreciated by all the bands in it.
John Monteleone masterclass in guitar making: a true genius in guitar making from New York; one song by Mark Knopfler has been dedicated to him and Eric Clapton is one of his most loyal customers. It was a unique opportunity to meet the modern Stradivarius of the guitar.
Monteverdian Cremona Area: a special area in which you could find all the different Cremonese realities related to music and violin making, and this year they were grouped by the common thread of Claudio Monteverdi. In this area there were unique historical documents about the life of Monteverdi, but also installations and costumes of the various performances of his works. The State Archives, the Ponchielli Theatre, the Museum of the Violin, the University of Pavia, the School of Violin Making IPIALL, the Cremonese Camerata and the Cremona Council each made a contribution to this area.
Exhibition “Le Orchestre Nascoste” by Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese: 10 keyboard instruments playing together for the first time in the world: it has brought much attention on Penderecki.
Red Room: another special area that welcomed a unique instrument according to some of the greatest contemporary Italian luthiers. It was much appreciated and has revealed the Italian violin making know-how also for the international audience of the exhibition.

THE INTENSE PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY AND THE CREATION OF THE COMMUNITYEach year CremonaFiere promotes the Exhibition in Italy and abroad. These events not only aim to make Mondomusica and the Piano Experience well known, but they also create a network of contacts and international collaborations that, in the medium term, are proving particularly useful and effective.
In these occasions, CremonaFiere’s staff had the opportunity to meet and invite some of the most important professionals of the sector to Cremona, present its initiatives, laying the foundations for interesting partnerships, and strengthen the network of international business relations.
GIVE A MUSIC CHANCEMoreover, since 2012 CremonaFiere is supporting the initiative “Give a Music Chance”, which consists in the donation of musical instruments to music projects involving young people coming from difficult social situations. In 2015, the donation of instruments went to the project “My school becomes Conservatory”, supported by the Palermo Council in Sicily. This initiative, as well as having a social purpose is also an effective tool for advertising the Exhibition at a national level.

THE SOCIAL NETWORKThanks to our communication tools we were able to build a strong and extensive international network between professionals and music and violin-making lovers. We increasingly use social networks that allow us to stay in touch with our partners and have an instant feedback about our communication.
This year, another great novelty was the launch of the CremonaFiere APP for smartphones and tablets: a new tool that makes it easier to meet professionals
