Math Facts• Students need to add and subtract basic facts to 20
quickly without using their fingers.– The goal is that students complete a fact within 3-4
seconds mentally (both addition and subtraction).• This equates to between 15-20 facts correct per minute.
– Facts would include adding and subtracting digits up to 12 with an answer up to 20 (We would recommend up to 24).
– This goal should be met by the end of the first semester.
