SCHEDULING 101• Students will have seven classes• Four core courses (English, Math, Science, History)• Health & PE• Two electives
• If students choose a language, they will have one more elective.
• Some students may be scheduled to take a support class for one of the electives to help your child in reaching his/her potential (ex- reading, math, personal development)

SCHEDULING 101• If your child receives Advanced Academics Level 4, Special Education/ESOL services, or French Immersion your child will be placed into these programs by our office.
• Students in the music program, or who speak Spanish will be assessed to find the best placement.
• All students will be placed in Health & PE. • Health & PE is required full year for 7th and 8th, but
is listed by semester (it will appear on everyone’s schedule twice).

SCHEDULING 101
• Students must rank semester courses 1-6 in preferential order on the course planner and list alternatives online.
• Every effort will be made to place students in their first elective choice, but sometimes we may have to place the student in their second or even third choice.
• Year-long electives will get priority unless noted.

• Students work with parents to select preference for content classes- students will input through StudentVUE.
• Communicate with Student Services regarding any specific requests or concerns.
• Reflect on choices throughout the spring.

or period) and this does not guarantee placement in electives.
• It will not be specific for music level until after auditions.
• It may include a support class, or one may be recommended later.
• It is still contingent on how it fits into the master schedule
