A Glimpse at Life in Yunnan…
l In Shuangjiang County only 30% of all villages have clean drinking water
l Most clean water sources are 2-10 km away from villages
l Village women spend 2-3 hours of every day gathering water for their families
l Sickness is especially severe the last two months of the dry season

Ways Drinking Water Projects Affect Villager’s Lives…
l Women no longer spend all morning collecting water
l With education and experience, there is an overall improvement of basic health and sanitation
l Livestock are healthier, and villagers can afford to raise more animals
l People are able to bathe more often, and wash their hands before cooking and eating
