OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove any promotional material rom the vacuum
cleaner.
When unpacking the vacuum cleaner check to see
you have received all the required components,
such as the hose and other accessories beore
discarding the packaging.
TO OPERATE THE VACUUM CLEANER
Locate the crush proo hose and push the
connection point into the hose inlet connection on
the ront side o the vacuum, until a “click” sound
is heard.
Connect the wide end o the metal wand to thehose end, and push together rmly.
Fit the foor tool to the narrow end o the wand and
push together rmly.
Fully extend the power cord by pulling the power
plug out rom the rear o the vacuum, until the
yellow tape on the cord is showing.
NOTE: Ensure that you do not over extend the
power cord – do not extend past the red warning
tape on the cord.
Plug into a 230/240V power point and switch the
power on at the power point.
To commence vacuuming, push down on the on/o
button
on the top o the vacuum cleaner.
When vacuuming is complete, push down on the
‘on/o’ button to switch o. Turn the power o at
the outlet and then remove the power cord rom
the power outlet. When removing the plug rom the
power outlet, grasp the plug not the cord.
To retract the cord push down on the ‘cord rewind’
button
on top o the vacuum cleaner.
IMPORTANT: HOLD THE PLUG END AND GUIDE THE CORDINTO THE VACUUM DURING RETRACTION TO PREVENT IT FROM
STRIKING YOU OR THE VACUUM.
CAUTION: ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE DUST CONTAINER
AND THE MOTOR PROTECTION FILTER ARE CORRECTLY FITTED.
NEVER OPERATE WITHOUT THE DUST CONTAINER OR FILTERS
IN PLACE.
VARIABLE POWER CONTROL
The power booster lever on the vacuum can beused or variable power control. Slide the lever
toward the MAX marking or vacuuming hard foor
and carpet suraces. Slide the lever toward the
MIN marking when using the crevice, upholstery
and brush tools.

CREVICE AND BRUSH TOOLACCESSORIES
The crevice tool is ideal or vacuuming hard to
reach places such as the edges along skirting
boards.
The brush and upholstery tools can be used to
vacuum delicate suraces and areas such as
shelves and venetian blinds.
Set the variable speed control between minimum
and medium power when using the tool
accessories.
Turn o the vacuum cleaner when changing any
attachments.
HARD FLOOR TOOL (KBV280 ONLY)
The hard foor tool is ideal or vacuuming hard
foors, with improved pick-up.
Simply t the hard foor tool to the narrow end o
the wand and push together rmly.
Turn o the vacuum cleaner when changing any
tools. Follow the ‘TO OPERATE THE VACUUM
CLEANER’ instructions to commence vacuuming.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Check all lters and replace them regularly. It is
recommended to clean the lters ater every use.
For normal household vacuuming the lters should
be replaced at least twice a year.
I you encounter reduced vacuum cleaner
perormance, check:
Dust capacity in dust container
All lters, including dust, motor and exhaust. Any
clogging in the lters will reduce the eciency o
your vacuum cleanerTo clean the outside o the unit, wipe the exterior
with a sot, damp cloth. Never use an abrasive
cleaner.
EMPTYING THE DUST CONTAINER
Always switch the vacuum o, then switch o
at the power outlet and unplug prior to replacing
lters or emptying the dust container.
For optimum use, the dust container should beemptied ater every use. When the dust container

reaches the capacity mark ‘MAX’, it is essential to
thoroughly clean both the dust container and lters.
To remove the dust container, ensure the vacuum
is down on its wheels; remove the dust container
by pressing down on the button on top o the dustcontainer. Once released careully lit the container
upwards.
To empty the dust container simply place it over
the rubbish bin, ensuring the opening o the bin is
larger than the dust container. Press the “PUSH”
button located beneath the hose inlet connection
on the ront o the dust container. The bottom o the
container will release and the dust and compiled
dirt will be dispensed.NOTE: Dependant upon the amount and type o dirt
collected in the dust container, it may be necessary
to agitate the dirt inside the dust container or
easier dispensing.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THE UNIT WITHOUT A DUST
CONTAINER IN PLACE.
CLEANING AND REPLACING FILTERS
To assist you with the regular care o your vacuum,
a second HEPA lter is supplied or convenient use,
ideal or when a dirty lter is being cleaned.
Dirty and clogged lters may result in reducedsuction perormance. It is recommended that lters
are cleaned ater every use and replaced regularly
to ensure maximum eciency rom your vacuum.
I lters are let uncleaned, it may result in a
reduction o suction power. Should this occur, the
ollowing procedure should be ollowed every
couple o months.
PROCEDURE TO REPLACE FILTERS
Always switch the vacuum o, then switch o at
the power outlet and unplug prior to cleaning orreplacing the lters. Beore replacing the lters
ensure all dirt and dust is rst emptied rom the
dust container. Reer to the ‘EMPTYING THE DUST
CONTAINER’ section.
Remove the dust container rom the vacuum
by pressing down on the button on top o the
dust container. Once released, careully lit the
container upwards.
To remove the HEPA lter rom the back (fat
side) o the dust container, press the tab and
pull out the HEPA lter, ollowed by the oam
lter.

Shake and tap the HEPA lter until all the ne
dust particles are removed. Ater approximately
6 months the HEPA lter should be replaced.
This period is dependant upon the requency
o use and type o dirt being subjected to thevacuum.
The HEPA lter can also be hand washed in
warm water.
NOTE: Do not use any detergents or boiling water
to wash the lter, do not wash the lter in a
dishwasher or washing machine.
It is advised to let the lter dry completely or at
least a minimum o 24 hours beore use.
NOTE: Do not dry in a tumble dryer, microwave,
oven or near a naked fame. The lter and lter case must be completely dry beore replacing into the
vacuum. Failure to allow the lter to completely dry
may result in damage to the vacuum motor.
NOTE: A second hepa lter is supplied or
convenience, ideal or when a used lter is being
cleaned.
To place the lter back in the dust container,
ensure that the lter is completely dry beore

use. Close the bottom o the container.
Simply place the oam lter into the back o the
HEPA lter and then click the lter assembly
into the back o the dust container.
To remove and clean the CaptivG3 cone rom
inside the dust container, rstly ensure the
dust container has been emptied. Follow
the ‘EMPTYING THE DUST CONTAINER’
instructions.
Press the ‘PUSH’ button located beneath the
hose inlet connection on the ront o the dust
container. The bottom o the container will
release. Grip the two pockets at the base o the
cone with two ngers, twist anti-clockwise to‘OPEN’ and pull to remove the cone.
Shake and tap the cone until all the ne dust
particles are removed. The cone can also be
hand washed. Allow the cone to completely air
dry beore re-assembling.
To replace the cone into the dust container, grip
the two pockets at the base o the cone with
two ngers, slide the cone into the allocated
bracket inside the dust container and twist
clockwise to ‘CLOSE’ until resistance is elt.

Place the dust container back in the vacuum
cleaner or next use.
ExHAUST FILTER
The exhaust lter should be cleaned every sixmonths. Simply unclip the grill on the top o the
vacuum cleaner towards the rear, shake and tap
the lter to remove any dust accumulated. Then
relocate the lter and reattach the grill.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Always switch the vacuum o, then switch o at
the power outlet and unplug the appliance prior to
cleaning or replacing either lter.
To clean the outside o the unit, wipe the exterior
with a sot, damp cloth. Never use an abrasivecleaner.
IMPORTANT: CHECK AND REPLACE bOTH THE MOTOR
PROTECTION AND HEPA FILTERS APPROxIMATELY TWICE A
YEAR OR WHEN VIS IbLY CLOGGED.

Kambrook warrants the purchaser against defects in workmanship and material for a period of 12 months
from the date of purchase (3 months commercial use).
