µ
Functional Requirements
Provide adequate aperture for 8 GeV primary proton beam to the new M3 beam line (through P1, P2, and M1 line)– Un-normalized transverse emittance – 2 p-mm-
mrad– Dp/p < .23%
Provide an injection system capable of accepting beam specified above at an average rate of 12 Hz with a burst rate of 100 Hz
Provide an abort system capable of removing beam within 10 msec of a detected fault condition
Provide an un-normalized ring admittance of 40 p-mm-mrad and a Dp/p of .23%
![Page 15: Delivery Ring AIP](https://reader036.vdocument.in/reader036/viewer/2022062310/56816252550346895dd29a7c/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
µ
Functional Requirements
Provide the electrical infrastructure improvements necessary in the existing antiproton source buildings to support the operation of g-2 and Mu2.
Provide needed upgrades to power supply systems that use obsolete components or have insufficient regulation capabilities.
Provide instrumentation suitable for use for g-2 and Mu2e operation– SEMS with reliable high gain amplifiers– BLMs that can be used with high intensity proton
beams– BPMs that function with 2.5 MHz beam structure
with expected repetition rates– Toroids general maintenance needed for reliability
