LITHUANIA’S STRATEGY “LITHUANIA 2030“Changes will take place in the following
areas:
Smart society: happy society that is open
[openness] to the ideas of each citizen
[creativity], to innovations and challenges,
demonstrating solidarity, self-governance
and political maturity [responsibility].
Smart economy: economy that is flexible
and able to compete globally [openness],
generating high added value, based on
knowledge, innovations entrepreneurship
[creativity] and social responsibility as well
as “green” growth [responsibility].
Smart governance: governance that is
open and participatory [openness],
delivering, meeting public demands and
ensuring high quality services
[responsibility], as well as competent
government, able to take targeted strategic
decisions [creativity].
The implementation of the vision of
“LITHUANIA 2030“ would enable Lithuania
to become, in the year 2030, one of the 10
most advanced European Union Member
States by:
- Quality of Life Index (now 23rd in the
EU);
- Happiness Index (now 20th in the EU );
- Democracy Index (now 22nd in the
EU);
- Sustainable Society Index (now 13th in
the EU);
- Global Competitiveness Index (now
17th in the EU);
- Globalization Index (now 25th in the
EU)
2. Legislation of Design
Article 1. Purpose of the Law
Law shall establish the procedure for legal protection, registration and
use of an industrial design in the Republic of Lithuania, as well as the
administration of the Design Register of the Republic of Lithuania. Main
aim of law is not related to policy of Design of Lithuania.
3. Lithuanian Innovation Strategy 2010–2020. APPROVED: By Resolution
No. 163 of 17 February, 2010 of the Government of the Republic of
Lithuania. It is a long-term strategic planning document which sets
vision, objectives, goals and results to be achieved in the field of
Lithuanian Innovation (in the field of Design as well) up to 2020. The
purpose of this Strategy is to mobilize and manage state resources
effectively: to create competitive knowledge economy based on the latest
technologies and qualified human resources.
